holy moly, this are small things with big difference that I ignored for 5 years... CTRL to micro move the values?! the pain of surgically moving the values in small numbers is no more!! THANK YOU!!!

That little arrow for the "used 2 times" ...that was nice. I want to point out a couple of things about plug-ins though. Fx Console is a must and it's free. For paid plug-ins probably nothing beats the functionality of motion 3. If you're into mo-design overlord, trim-pack, textevo, rift - if you're into drawing penpal is a must. With overlord you can go back and forth ai-ae and penpal does things that are not even covered in ai in terms of vertex alignment, distribution & tangent alignment - copy-pasting..etc.

Excellent tips and tricks in here. Particularly useful for me was the stretch column visibility (i did not know that was even available!) Thanks very much for posting - I learnt a lot! Now I m going to watch again... KP
@TheKeyframeAcademy3 жыл бұрын
I know right? When I discovered the stretch column I was like "I've been doing this like a caveman this whole time!!" I always hated how AE stretch is the opposite of premiere. (150% in premiere would be 150 % faster, while in AE its 150% slower.) Now I don't really think about percentages anymore. just click and drag.

Sadly, when I announced it a year ago, there was just a few little bugs that I wanted to iron out before giving it out. But then the guy who helped me build it stopped responding to me so it got delayed. I can probably put it up now, but also Adobe's next release of After Effects is going to make certain parts of the tool obsolete.

@TheKeyframeAcademy3 жыл бұрын
Yeah me too a little bit. Although since publishing this video I bought one of the MDS + holdframe courses and I am impressed by it. But I do miss some of the freebies/smaller project files that were available from Holdframe. Some of those smaller project files were cool and fun to dig into but don't really warrant $70 and 4 hourse of interviews.

Im so new on this channel but I really enjoy your tutorial I really excited thank you sir but I face problems using duik when I import character from adobedraw. Is DUIK only work for character from adobe Illustrator
@TheKeyframeAcademy3 жыл бұрын
Welcome to the channel! Yes DUIK will rig any layer in After Effects so if can export .pngs, .jpeg, .Ai or .PSD files from Adobe Draw, then you can use DUIK to right them.

Awesome vid! Question -- Any suggestions for the best way to keep track of the plugins and scripts you use? Seems every time I go to use one I haven't used in a couple months, there's a new version, or it's not being updated anymore, or AE got an update and the plugin or script doesn't work anymore, etc. And in the flurry of projects I forget where I got it from in the first place. I often just don't bother and make do with what AE offers natively, and I know I'm missing out on some awesome stuff. But it's hard to come to depend on these extras and then they can suddenly stop working. Any help would be awesome!

Aescripts has a nice program that manages all your plugins that you purchase through them. If its plugins purchased elsewhere, I feel you. I guess you could try a spread sheet?

The tips are probably good, but the video is unwatchable. Riddled with ads, 90% of the time you see the face in closeup instead of After Effects. I'm just looking for the information. It's sad that KZbin forces many tutorials to look like this and the videos become more and more annoying and distracting instead of helpful. In the 2020 tips video you could skip somehow to the screen parts, but this one is worse. Catering to the algorithm like this makes the experience bad. There has to be a better way to make money than this.
@TheKeyframeAcademy3 жыл бұрын
I'm not really sure what you mean by "riddled with ads" . This video doesn't have any ads, unless you're talking about YT's pre roll ads, then maybe that criticism should be directed at YT... I guess blaming the algorithm for a video you didn't like is one way to look at it. I honestly don't know what I did to cater to the "algorithm", I just came up with a list and filmed and edited it. And no, I'm not making any significant amount of money off this video (adsense), so you're right there are better ways to make money... But I didn't make this video to make money. It was to help others out. I squeezed this video in between to huge project I have going on, and any ad revenue I get will amount to pennies. This isn't a hustle. If you don't find the video helpful, skip to the next one. There will be no hard feelings on my part.
