Leonora, what is your opinion on some hacks I've seen for food photography where the food is not really food? Like I saw a video where the photographer stacks a can inside a Turkey so as to make it fatter. In another video they used substitute for sauces that was actually silicon, paint etc... Do you try those same hacks yourself or you prefer to take the shot as it is? Maybe a video on this subject would be nice.

Great point John! I do feel quite strongly about this because keeping food as natural as possible in my opinion, makes it look as delicious as possible. Don’t get me wrong, I will use certain tools to prop up a sandwich or place a bowl upside down in pot of pasta to give it a bit of height. However, using things like hairspray, glue, etc is just awful. I know pizza brands for TV ads drill screws on a board directly into the pizza and then use glue in between the slices. This to create that cheesy effect when someone pulls a slice. I get it especially for highly commercial shoots like that but I avoid it where possible and know there are so many ways to create the same effect with natural food techniques. A video may come on this thanks :)
