@juvygenius2 жыл бұрын
Very good video and furthers my knowledge on flipping. I have played with flipping for about a month for now and learned some things about myself pertaining to it. I seem to not like the low profit flips that much pertaining to what time is invested into finding those and with consideration of how well they sell based on sell rate that TSM provides. While the profits can more or less be assured, I argue with myself on it being efficient to do. Thus I have come to favor crafting flips more compared to just pure resale flips. Mostly been doing alchemy and tailoring which has more to do with how you basically print gold through duplication procs or specialization. On top of that, the primal market fits pretty well in with that where I am looking for those cheaper prices to buy them in bulk which works alongside both alchemy and tailoring. But if the market shoots up in value, I can resell those primals for direct profit and rebuy low at a later point in time which seems to consistently occur around that market.

So let's say there's 10 items at 70% and you buy them all, but a ton more at 81% and it's not feasible to buy them all out. Do you just hold those 10 items until the market value goes back to 100% and then post them? How do you know when it's time, do you just click Auctioning -> Post scan, and then if it says undercutting competition it's good to go, and it will say cheapest below minimum price if not?
@TheLazyGoldmaker2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the quantities and items, in some cases I'll buy everything below 70% and just repost at around 100 and wait for the sales, other cases I might buy a lot of the 81% stuff or just not buy. For something I know sells in large quantities or that has low deposit costs like say enchanting dust used to level enchanting IO'll just buy a ton an keep it on the AH. I tend to just run post scans with everything I have without checking the AH, some items are going to be unlikely to sell, and some will sell quickly every post scan and the time sace from not micro managing is worth the smal efficiency loss in my opinion.

That requires a lot of time though. If you just want to login and spend 20 minutes on the AH, the wait time isn't really an issue. The absolute best approach is to combine the AH, professions and farming. Once you've stocked everything you can on the AH you can spend the rest of your time farming, but most players don't have infinite time, or even much time that they want to spend farming, and if you play 2 hours a day or less on average and want to do other things than making gold the AH becomes a much better value proposition.

@gabrielzardet37682 жыл бұрын
The only useful information you need to actually auction house/station trade and flip is not even mentionned in the video. You NEED to know (on average) volumes that are being BOUGHT (not SOLD) of any given item before even concidering buying it out for potential resell and thing is, in wow, you simply do not have access to that bit of information. With your method you might just end up pilling up tons of shits you wont be able to sell back (in time) on less populated servers simply because the market you are buying them from is already over supplied. It does not matter how high the BUYING price has gone up on anything if you cant correlate it with actual stats on volume BOUGHT. And by that I mean how many are being bought per h/day, in what amount are they being bought per order etc... This is my "pro" tip (well I've been doing this on multiple games for nearly 20 years... FML) one can only SAFELY flip things that are actually bought (and preferably in great volumes) by players ;D and TSM wont help you with that, only your personal knowledge will and on that point your experience may GREATLY vary depending on which server you are playing. Also. If you wanna run with lvl 1 banks, please dont make it harder for you than it is, head them to the Exodar, less walking distance from mail box to auction house.
@TheLazyGoldmaker2 жыл бұрын
TSM actually has stats on region average sold per day. Not on a realm per realm basis though. Obviously you are correct in that you need to know how much people are buying, which often equates to knowing what players are using the item for. Unless I misremember I do use the example of Vision dust and that you need around 300 to power level classic enchanting if you follow the normal leveling guide. Understanding what items have demand and why is definitely a key skill though, one I probably often take for granted since I've been doing it for so long. Would probably make for a good video for beginners.
