You are comparing vast country like India with a tiny spot in the world like the Netherlands. Management of a big democracy like India itself requires brilliant minds. It will 100 years or more to make 25 Netherlands inside India. I think you need to update yourself on the technological milestones that India achieved in the last decade given the socio-economic challenges it faces from its diversified population.
@cookmaster36264 жыл бұрын
Interesting post Mr. Sharma. I work for a US company that has operations in Belgium and we jointly design and build high tech products. I have an opportunity to work in Belgium if I desire as a US employee, (not tax exempt expat position etc) because being physically in Belgium, will make my job interactions that much more easy. Today 70% of my time is spent with Belgium folks on projects and my request will be no issue. That being said what would be a good place to stay if my work in Belgium is in Erpe-Mere city. How much would be the rental for a 1 BR accommodation in a desirable place easier to commute on public transport to work. Want to utilize this opportunity to set up a base there and while working travel around Europe on 1 plus year stay plan. Thanks in advance for your response.
@harjeewansharma4 жыл бұрын
@@cookmaster3626 good day, Your questions little confused me because of your high tech profile.As you know that in this time the world is going through a rough patch of pandemic and you are planning to come here in Belgium. I think it's not easy to come here from USA in these days and it's looking like it would stay for while. secondly, You are having high tech job and you want to setup your base in around above said place,I can understand that you would feel comfortable around your clients and business partners but my real confusion is that if you want to setup your base for all European places then why would you choose such a small place? thirdly,why are you looking for an 1BR accommodation,I think you should look for a small office cum House accommodation.I can tell you that it's not fixed that everywhere the rental are same but on an average I think it should be around about 400 to 500 💶.I think your clients around the above said municipality would tell you better about the rental. Belgium is not a big country so it's easy to commute within and from one place to another but if you want to go to the other places in EU for your job then it's economical to use air travel then other modes of the transportation.If you have much financial power and enough time to spend then you can use your own mode of transportation.Hope that you would able to setup your base here in Belgium. good wishes to you.

@@kallalnath1 I think you are really upset by my comments but my motive was not to undermine or underestimate the achievements of India and Indians. I am very realistic person and I was referring to the learning from the technological aspect of the Netherlands. I don't now whether you were here in the tiny dot Netherlands or not but if you would know there achievements in civil engineering then you would definitely change your thinking. They are literally living in and with the water.They are having underwater tunnels for 75 years(mastunnel,Rotterdam).Learning and making life easier for the people is not bad .

@@harjeewansharma - Thanks for your prompt response. sorry if i didn't come across clear with my question. The company i work in US and the one in Belgium are all part of the same company and we have a team in both sites that work on projects utilizing the resources at both sites (Reason we recently merged thru an acquisition). My manager is in Belgium, and i am one of the few Engineers working on projects that is being designed there. The folks from US go there for 2/3 weeks at a time to work side by side with their the counterparts there. That being said I don't see any issues with me opting to work on their site on an extended period (basically like a long time on site visit at my option) still being a US employee. Also I am a US citizen and have no issues with work visa permits etc. I was primarily looking at this opportunity to work there and utilize the off periods to travel around Europe and was posing my question on accommodation within easy commute to Erpe Mere. I can ask my colleagues but obviously don't want to give any ideas to them until i do my homework and feel firm to approach that. Reason for 1 BR unit being just for me and my wife to just meet our needs. Finances are not an issue, and if i feel comfortable driving around there i can buy a car or rent during longer trip periods. This last Feb we took a 1 week trip to Italy and really enjoyed it and wanted to explore more of Europe.The whole plan is not to fly from US each time to visit Certain sections of Europe on a 0 day trip and repeat it and so on. This will probably be a one year to 18 month plan. Hope i came clear this time.

@DesiCoupleOnTheGo4 жыл бұрын
Benefits of staying in Netherlands are that first there is better quality of life but it’s bit of subjective ..anyways for jobs it’s very peaceful from visa perspective and unlike US, if you have job, your visa is guaranteed..and it’s also one place where you can explore Europe easily..
@dutchyjhome3 жыл бұрын
Here is another Dutch Perspective for ya: you'll have to make a decision: Do you want to be entirely on your own, and maybe get to know a few other expats, then by all means stick to English. Do you want to mingle with the Dutch, get a good taste of True Dutch culture, and leave those other expats for what they are for a brief moment? By all means learn Dutch. Even though the vast majority of the Dutch population speaks more or less English, it really is Dutch which is the native language of The Netherlands. Dutch it is and Dutch it will be. To the Dutch it is like this: OK you speak English, so you do not take the trouble to learn Dutch, so you must be temporary here and you must be on your way out soon. We (The Dutch) lost interest in this person. Or: Hey well so nice of this foreigner to learn Dutch, he or she respects this country and its inhabitants and this person obviously wants to mingle with us: let's invite this person into our lives! English is a foreign language to us Dutchies it is a way to talk to strangers whom want to stay stranger, or maybe to a person who really want's to learn Dutch but just arrived... Let there be no misconception about this: English is to talk to strangers and Dutch among friends! This is The Netherlands after all and our language is Dutch and absolutely not English, although to strangers we will talk English. By choosing English as a language, you choose to stay a foreigner ! And so doors stay closed for you! Doors that will open for you when you speak Dutch ;-)
