Awesome info. Thank you! What about annuities? Can we re-title annuities to a trust???
@OakHarvestFinancialGroup Жыл бұрын
Hi Larry! Thanks for watching and for the compliment! We're glad you enjoyed. It is possible, but it involves *careful* consideration of the terms of the annuity contract, the structure and purpose of the trust, tax implications, and any specific requirements from the annuity issuer. We highly recommend consulting with professionals who have expertise in annuities and trusts - it is crucial to make sure the process is carried out correctly and in accordance with your estate planning goals. We'd be happy to help with that if needed - set up a free consultation with us here: click2retire.com/6-reasons-to-set-up-a-trust

This very helpful, but it's not simple to establish a trust and funding it.

If assets in a trust has income does it pay taxes?
@OakHarvestFinancialGroup Жыл бұрын
Hi @Mr._Rick! That depends on several factors, including the type of trust, the nature of the income, and the tax laws in the jurisdiction where the trust is established. It's crucial to consult with a qualified tax professional or attorney who specializes in trust taxation to determine the tax obligations of a specific trust. They can provide guidance on reporting requirements, deductions, and tax planning strategies that may be beneficial for your particular situation. If you need assistance, schedule a free consultation with us today, we'd love to help! Click here to set that up - click2retire.com/6-reasons-to-set-up-a-trust

@@OakHarvestFinancialGroup probably a couple years from being able to retire and talk to you. Would like to have a trust that my assets go in when I pass that only distributes income and leaves principal in trust. I don’t trust any heirs to be In better shape five years later if they get a large distribution.

Even if you set up a trust with a monthly allowance for your children, can't they just reverse it with the JG Wentworth "I have a structured payment, but I need cash now" firm? Then it is just wasted money to set up the trust with this firm taking their cut and my children receiving less money anyway? Can a trust be structured in a bullet proof way such that my children (one in particular!) can't bypass to get money immediately?

Trust...I only have cats. I'm guessing this isn't for me. 🙂
@OakHarvestFinancialGroup Жыл бұрын
Actually @Rottingboards, trusts can serve various purposes beyond providing for children or other dependents. Some examples could include protecting your assets from creditors and the costly and time-consuming probate process, it can help with creating control over distribution, designating charitable contriutions, and so much more. Definitely something worth learning about to see if it's something that might work for your unique situation. Thanks for watching and commenting!

What could cause you to lose more than 50% of your retirement savings? LOL. Another thing comes to mind... Heh. But I'm not saying it.
