400s can go fast too lol, we were just racing down at jersey and I was able to get down to a 1:29.4, following the 400 is the smartest thing a person who is trying to go faster can do!

Just enjoy the process and some Woodcraft rear sets. Don't go crazy on mods, as you progress you will learn what you need.

@@SalDiPasta I have a 2021 fireblade. It’s a complete race bike from the factory. I have 20 years experience riding but never on a track. I don’t think I need any mods with this bike. I build bikes for racers near Atlantic City. Thanks. Any advice about riders or starting day?

It looks like you're on a 1000. Idk what kind of times you're running but a thing that helped me was I quit using 2nd gear. I do the whole track in 3rd and it forces me to keep my cornerspeed way high to stay in the power and I was still hitting 1:33s and 1:34s

I made a huge improvement early in the year staying in 3rd turns 1 through 4. Later this day I ran a PB of 1:28.9

Interesting, I was just watching a rider pov of an RS660 cup at my local track. It's a tight technical track and I was surprised they were using 3rd in a lot of place where I have been using 2nd. I have something new to try. :)

If you are being followed by a rider on a faster motorcycle, do not sit up when you brake - stay down on the tank as you brake for the corner and go around it. (just joking ! )
