Is it fair for him to characterize all the muhajireen in morocco as "isolated people who do not improve the lives of their neighbors"? Did he visit them and observe them to make this claim? This is an amazing accusation and perhaps he will be taken to account for this slander.

I believe he is offering a cautionary note about the dangers of becoming an expatriate for perceived safety in Muslim countries while neglecting the importance of building prophetic communities. It is a fair warning, considering how the Westernized culture of individualism has deeply influenced many of us, often unconsciously. I don't think he is trying to condemn; rather, he is sharing an example from his own experience, possibly from his travels to his homeland in Morocco. --- Would you like any further adjustments?

I think you are getting a different meaning from what he actually meant. His take is not inaccurate, I have witnessed similar phenomena especially in Morocco. It’s not slander, Allahu allum. It’s a general observation. When people migrate, it tends to be focused on the self, it’s rare for people to migrate and truly become concerned about the society they are joining in this example. So it’s not that hijrah = selfish travel inherently, it’s just calling out this experience.
