A good formation for SOS if you're infantry is to send the 4 troops from the fronline and only 1 or 2 in the back - send fake cavs that will draw 1 attack and die easily. That way the mages, which are the strongest troop usually, will waste one complete shot. This tactic only works for infantry players since you can't add infantry outside

How do you replace level 2 troops if you have all like level 16 barracks. Leave one barracks for low tier soldiers?

I don’t think so. It’s a mix of people with some from 1400 and others 1381 but a real mix of others (most originally from even older realms)
