Everyone forget, including me, that War Arc Sage Naruto is pretty damn OP. It's scary what if Naruto had this during the Pain Invasion. Almost wonder how well this Naruto would do against End of Five Kage Summit Sasuke (fully healed with no Mangekyou drawback). Not well. Maybe War Arc Sasuke for sure.

Good analysis. The mind scape fight is weird cause him standing still allowed him to stay in sage mode but considering what Naruto was capable of doing in the war arc either in BASE or Sage Mode, it's clear that the mind scape fight was something he was capable of doing in real life. With that being said, NO that sage mode Naruto is not even close to Half Kurama's power. Kurama was shocked at Naruto's power on his own but was still not close as Bee and Kushina really helped plus Kurama didn't attempt a bijuudama other than the two times. I think it's fair that early war arc Sage Mode ~ original KCM Naruto albeit I would probably give the edge to KCM Naruto. But that's the thing people forget about these characters. As they get power-ups, their BASE and other modes get stronger too. Like even war arc Base Naruto is capable of doing some Kage level feats. So yeah I completely agree and here's how I'd rank Naruto pre-six paths in the war (including Pain arc) with all forms/modes: 1. KCM2 + Sage Naruto w/ Kurama Avatar 2. KCM2 + Sage Naruto 3. KCM2 Naruto w/ Kurama Avatar (should be the same between mastered and initial, just the link timer is longer) 4. Mastered KCM2 Naruto 5. Mastered KCM (1.5) Naruto 6. Initial KCM2 Naruto 7. 0:40 Pain might be weaker just by operating in Konoha since he is potentially controlled Pain from a farther distance and has to allocate some amount of chakra/focus to scrambling his chakra signature to prevent detection (it is unclear if he did so in Ame), so his real full power in Ame would be stronger still (though he would not in-character use his full power as to not harm his own village). Also likely that the second Chikushōdō was weaker than the first, so a "fuller" power Pain would also have his problematic summons more difficult to disable. 1:38 Most of those are kana, not kanji. 5:25 The rate at which he enters Sage Mode also determines how long it lasts. Shortly after being bound by Iruka he falls out of Sage Mode, and against Sandaime Raikage later he has to charge for longer to get enough to actually fight him, though I agree his overall rate of "charge" and his total ceiling are both higher than before (noted during the Gokage Kaidan during his brief "training"). If it was as instant as this was suggesting, he would not have needed the alliance to stall him, and he also would have instantly gone into Sage Mode against Madara instead of needing Gaara to buy him some time. 11:29 The bottomless swamp that is Gakidō, alongside Tendō?

Irrelevant to the discussion since the weakened pain is being utilized in P1 and it’s entirely incalculable how much stronger he’d be in the Rain Village being closer although I’d agree he’d be stronger there. Naruto exiting SM was more so due to his focus being thrown off via Iruka rather than it not lasting long as we see in the war his SM has no issues lasting a much longer duration with comparable charge up times. We actually don’t know when Naruto sat down to start gathering nature energy in reference to Madara’s movements only that he was able to activate it shortly after. Entering SM in a conversations time as he does when Minato & Obito are talking further exemplifies the short nature of it. Clones just seem to take much longer to actually go into Sage mode. We know for a fact that they’re not bottomless as Nagato has a limit and didn’t continually absorb Base Bee’s chakra, this is more likely just hyperbole via the Databooks playing into the Rinnegan’s Vague nature & abilities. Madara also noted the Rasenshuriken is “too much energy” causing his palm to steam meaning there are upper limits to the absorption, unless you argue Nagato can fundamentally absorb more than Madara.

Not sure one needs to retain focus on Sage Mode after the chakra is already balanced. Naruto was not paying attention when he fell unto a bed of spikes, I imagine. Ripping B from Version 2 all the way back to base is potentially more chakra than the entire assault. Base Naruto;s chakra is shown visually compared to Kurama when linking via the clones, and Naruto is a very small fraction. Even multiplying this with Sage Mode, it would still not be equal to it, and Hachibi is closer to that amount than it is to Naruto in terms of volume, especially with Tendō blasting others away. Gakidō Pain did absorb a Rasenshuriken just fine, and it seems very unlikely that a single Rasenshuriken has more energy than B's entire Version 2, so it might be referring to the energy composition in the Rasenshuriken rather than its volume.

Mental states have been shown to have a much more severe effect on fighters compared to physical at times, the way the conversations is presented Naruto is responding to Iruka with his SM turning off unless they just happened to line up during the conversation when Naruto was given bad emotions. This doesn’t detract from the fact it proves Nagato’s absorption reservesi aren’t infinite as he outright stops. I also don’t think the Kurama & Naruto chakra measure visually is that indicative since SM is beyond Naruto’s own Reserves by a pretty substantial amount nor do I think it has much relation of Habichi who’s chakra levels are stagnant yet strength improves. Gakido Pain did absorb a Rasenshuriken fine although it’s more likely a weaker variation from a weaker variant of Naruto thus having less chakra allocated. Idk why it’s inconsistent that Naruto’s Rasenshuriken have more chakra than V2 Bee when it’s demonstrated that it does.

When he charged his Sage Mode (albeit, as a clone) against Sandaime Raikage it only lasted one attack before fading shortly after, so it could have, in theory. Sage Mode is an amplification of Naruto's own chakra with natural energy. Given the estimate of other senjutsu, probably a dozen or so times over. Still not comparable to Kurama, and likely inferior to Hachibi in terms of raw volume. Chakra is not stagnant, volume also increases alongside strength. Because Version 2 is a significant portion of Hachibi's chakra (Kisame was able to drain even Hachibi to near zero from Version 2) which is more comparable to a portion of Kurama's, whilst one attack from Sage Mode would only be some amount of Sage Mode Naruto who is shown to be small in comparison. Gakidō's ability to absorb chakra might have also been hampered as Nagato was being strained, not that it had any problems even then. Jiraiya has monstrous chakra even in base, then amplifies it with Sage Mode, and joins forces with Fukasaku, who is the strongest toad in Myōbokuzan, stronger than Gamabunta who initially required Naruto to tap into Kurama's chakra or mental amplification to summon, who could keep pace somewhat with a full power Icibi, and Shima, Mother of the Toad Way, and all three of them combining their output of chakra is immediately evaporated, alongside a mountain-carving sphere. Seems dubious that a single Rasenshuriken output more than that/Version 2.

Narutos attacks in the dreamscape against Kurama were so much larger scale than before or immediately after that I assumed he was outputting much more than he could. That he was absorbing senjutsu chakra and outputting it at the same rate, like he could've funneled 5 or more sage modes worth of senjutsu chakra into that ridiculous rasengan barriage by continuously funneling senjutsu chakra into charging up the attack as he was absorbing more. I mean he wasn't far off being able to almost instantly charge one full sage mode so it would probably only take a dozen seconds at most to charge atleast a few sage modes worth of chakra into one attack.

I wish we got to see full power Nagato. We got a glimpse when Kabuto reanimated him and he absorbed some of killer B to restore his vitality and legs. But it was still Kabuto controlling him and using his abilities in a much poorer manner than the real Nagato would. I think Nagato having all of his abilities and chakra in 1 body makes him more powerful and potent than his 6 paths.

War arc Naruto is basically what the fan base thinks jiraya with prep time knowing what each path of pain does before fighting pain would be like. Remember people. Statements aren't the same as feats. Obito said itachi could beat him. Deidara said sasori was stronger than him. Tsunade kakashi etc said Naruto surpassed Minato pre pain. Meanwhile we see something completely different when action occurs. And most importantly. Naruto surpassed jiraya as said by many people in story Mutiple times and still got bodies by a weaker pain who isn't on home turf advantage without the almighty push power needing 9 tails and Minato charge and just barley clutch the win.

Naruto had surpassed Minato in a few areas, just not speed. Minato had to be given KCM just to be worth having around in the war arc. Even with it, his performance fell short of the hype. That is why people still have grounds to argue Tobirama being more powerful than Minato. Tobirama was more effective in the war for sure. Sasori may have been more powerful than Deidara. Just not in a single attack. That doesnt mean Deidara lied, or was wrong. Sasori was more durable, didnt have to wait on clay to infuse for attacks, and didnt risk harming himself in his attacks. Sasori could also attack from many angles at the same time....and he didnt have to kill you immediately, just wound you one single time. Itachi would likely figure out a way to kill Obito. Obito had good reason to be afraid of him. You also have to remember that war arc obito is not the version that said that.

Pre-Watch Assumptions: War Arc SM Naruto should win low-medium difficulty at most. SM Naruto's clone in the war was able to take down the 3rd Raikage, A with relative ease with a simple Rasengan. Naruto had made _thousands_ of clones at this point in time and we know that the Shadow Clone Technique divides your chakra depending on how many clones the user has created - therefore, this Rasengan is _enormously_ weaker than a normal Rasengan from SM Naruto without clones. The 3rd Raikage was able to stale mate a FP Gyuki, the second most powerful tailed beast outside of Kurama. Gyuki was comparable to 1/2 of Kurama during the war in terms of power, and could push the Tailed Beast Ball of Jūbi back. The 3rd Raikage also fought ten thousand shinobi and only died due to chakra loss. You get the point. The 3rd Raikage, while maybe not stronger than Pain, should be low relative to him at the least. Naruto's clone in SM (with thousandths of Naruto's chakra and far lower durability) was able to take him down with a Rasengan, therefore Naruto with simple logic should be able to take down Pain relatively easily single-handedly.

Correct Naruto did that since the Ten Tails doesn’t have emotions or feelings, but it doesn’t change the fact that he’s still able to visualize the ten tails movements and act according, it does help explain why Kurama & Co couldn’t react as well. It’s more so relevant in Gyuuki’s & Kurama’s case less for KCM2 Naruto since he couldn’t track the statue’s chakra at all compared to Kurama who can sense the statue.

@ personally idt your sage naruto vs Planetary devastation argument works, when you look at the manga, pain’s version already built up a lot of rubble by the time kurama attacked the core. And idt Sage Naruto’s rasenshurikens are provably comparable to Kcm Naruto’s. Idt size matters either since that’s like saying Base Naruto’s odama rasengan is stronger than kcm2’s normal rasengan. Sage Odama may be stronger than Kcm rasenshurken but idk about the full combined attack. You brought up it destroying wood dragons, but they were made by a very fatigued hashirama, weaker characters provably make weaker constructions.

NGL using Nagato as a baseline is more so generous to Pain as his CT should be stronger - similar to Madara’s and how his meteors form faster and larger than Nagato’s, meaning they’d have to have a stronger gravitational pull with a stronger core. All Naruto needs to do is make 3+ Rasenshuriken before the core gets too much rock around, 6 Tails Naruto was operating off instinct and shot at it MUCH later. I don’t think the analogy presented works that well as I’m more saying saying Odama Rasenshuriken > SM Rasenshuriken which are comparable to KCM Rasenshuriken or Naruto’s AP is comparable to KCM as even SM Naruto’s regular rasengan can damage the Third Raikage so they’re clearly not tiers apart.

If you actually look at the panel Naruto, Rasengan cracked the arm of the Raikage before it pushed it into the Raikage’s chest, a feat replicated by the Rasenshuriken via Naruto earlier in the fight. The point of the fight was that Naruto needed an attack that would one shot the Raikage as the Rasenshuriken doesn’t & Naruto resorts to the Bijuu bomb after.

Naruto in sage mode takes pretty much each stats W ( speed, strength, durability, rasenshuriken is the series most lethal justu, plus he’s a taijustu god) the only issue was the time limit which is why I still say sage mode Naruto is one of the strongest characters in Boruto ( stronger then sasuke to ) sage mode amps their base stats the greater the base the greater the power up

Naruto getting punched by Pain doesn't mean that he took much damage from it. And if you ask why he would react to the punch the way he did, then I would say physics. If a 12 year-old punched me in the stomach, even I would react to getting hit. Even if he sent Naruto flying with a punch, it doesn't mean he took much damage as Naruto is only about 115 lbs pounds, and he's getting hit with punches that could kill an elephant. Not only that, Naruto, in a partial sage mode transformation, fell off a cliff during training and took zero damage from it.

It’s not measurable how much damage he took from it but, Naruto is reacting to the force of the punch meaning he is affected physically to a degree. It’d just mean Pain can enhance his punch force with bansho tenin to physically affect Naruto. It’s much more consistent to say Pain just knocked the wind out of Naruto or did hurt him to some extent rather than assume he didn’t.

You mean a person with Hashirama cells like Obito or Madara? 1. I don't think we have evidence to say Zetsu bodies are immune to poison or venom. They aren't immune to the Aburame microscopic bugs, since Obito had to detach his infected arm. I think something like a poison cloud would work unless the person's whole body was made of Hashirama cells. Either way it might not outright kill them because of the healing factor, but I think it would still be effective to some degree, like causing pain and numbing the body, until the effects were healed. Venom would work in a similar way if the Zetsu/Hashirama cells body parts have a circulatory system. Obito doesn't bleed when he cuts off his Zetsu arm, it's just a goo, so without blood to carry the venom throughout the body, it would only work if Sasori managed to scratch a natural part of the body. On the other hand, a lower level of Hashirama cells would still carry blood and thus be susceptible to venom, such as Danzou's right arm. And, unlike Obito and Madara, Danzou didn't show any healing factor. 2. They could heal the damage if the person only inhaled a small amount of bombs, but the point of C4 is exploding all the cells of the body. We see the lizards and birds, as well as Sasuke's illusion, being basically Thanos-snapped by C4, almost as if they were hit by Particle Style. And you can't enhance your insides. So Rinnegan Obito and Revived Madara could in theory die to C4. In reality though Madara would never get caught, and if he did he probably could disarm the explosives by absorbing the chakra inside them. And Obito also wouldn't get caught not only because of his speed and the Sharingan allowing him to see the bombs as a cloud of chakra (and the fact that he was Deidara's partner and he knows how C4 works), but because of Kamui. 3. No, Amaterasu just keeps burning and would outdamage any healing factor. Even Sage Kabuto was afraid of Amaterasu, and even the Ten Tails had to detach the part of its body that was hit by Naruto and Sasuke's Enton combined jutsu. 4. Yesn't? Depends on the amount of Hashirama cells and the amount of damage. If Ohnoki disintegrates Obito's arm, he's not regenerating that anytime soon. But if it only causes minor injuries, then they could heal it. But given how Particle Style usually works when it hits, taking chunks out of a person's body, if not outright fully atomizing them, if they're not an Edo Tensei, Obito and Madara are going to lose limbs and/or die. Only Juubidara showed the ability to heal a third of his body being exploded by Night Guy. I reckon Black Zetsu would also be fine as long as we wasn't fully atomized, and Orochimaru and Sage Kabuto as well. But without those higher regen hax, Hashirama cells never showed the ability to regen limbs mid fight. 5. It's the same situation as with Particle Style. It prevented the Edo Tensei from regenerating because it negated the jutsu itself. Would the damage dealt by the TSOs prevent the person from channeling chakra into the affected body part, or the cells themselves to start multiplying and healing? Idk. You could interpret it either way, since they "negate Ninjutsu". Is the passive healing factor from the Hashirama cells a Ninjutsu? I personally think you could heal it in principle, but then again, you're not healing a lost arm mid fight. 6-8. Idk. I never watched/read Bleach and I don't like crossverse scenarios because it's near impossible to equalize the magic systems without any kind of biased compromise. 9. Yes, in general. Hidan only inflicts damage, so if he pierced his hand and the damage was transferred to Obito's Zetsu hand, I reckon he would be able to heal that kind of wound without much issue. He can only heal minor wounds though. He can't regen limbs and he was going to die after Kakashi pierced his heart had he not become the Jinchuriki of the Juubi. So if Hidan pierces his own heart, for example, Obito dies. Now just for fun I'll apply the same questions to the progenitor of Hashirama cells, the one composed of 100% Hashirama cells, Hashirama himself. Keep in mind that, according to Madara, Hashirama's healing factor was similar to Tsunade's Byakugou/100 Healings, passive regen, though it's unclear if he had that ability in base or only in Sage Mode. Since he can enter SM in seconds, I'll assume he has his full regen Madara was praising during his fight with the 5 Kage. 1. I reckon it would only affect him if he was low on chakra, and only for a short time. He would outheal any damage natural toxins would be able to deal to his body. 2. Hashirama is one I believe would be able to simply regen a lost limb. It doesn't feel right to assume his healing factor was inferior to Tsunade's, so we can use that as a frame of reference. If Hashirama doesn't notice the bombs (which he would if he was in SM), then I believe he would die to C4. He would only realize once his body started to decay from the inside. If he was aware though, he probably could just absorb the chakra in the bombs. Maybe he could focus on healing before the explosions went off, kinda like how Kabuto survived Naruto's Rasengan in Part 1, but we have no way to prove which one would be faster. You have to keep in mind that the bombs would be exploding at the same time across his whole body. 3. I don't think Hashirama would be able to outheal the damage from Amaterasu, but he would counter it in other ways. If you subscribe to the notion that his cells give them the ability to absorb chakra (and also nature energy, explaining Hashirama's Sage Mode being his own, not linked to any animal), then he can just do that the same way Madara did when Sasuke hit him on the back. If you don't think he can, Wood Style could. He can sprout wood out of his body, for example when making Wood Clones, so that's pretty easy. So one way or another, Amaterasu wouldn't work on him. 4-5. Hashirama could regen a lost arm or leg, but he's probably dying if half of his body, or his head, gets erased. But in the case of TSO, if you think they negate passive abilities involving chakra flow and not just Ninjutsu, then maybe Hashirama's healing factor would be turned off in the areas that were hit. I don't think that's the case though. His healing factor would be at the very least as good as Tsunade's Byakugou, and definitely not as good as Juubidara's. 6-8. Idk 9. Hidan can only kill Hashirama if he chops his own head off. Hashirama is going to survive his heart being pierced and any other kind of damage Hidan could transfer to him, as would Tsunade.

I don't think it is much of naruto's sage mode getting stronger in the war but naruto using full power of sage mode in the war. Clones split Naruto's chakra and in pain arc naruto use two clones to gather nature energy, So he was at one third the power of sage mode in pain arc. This is kinda consistent as well if you look at thewar. In the war naruto used five rasenshurinkens before running out while in pain arc naruto only use two and ran out.

He was absolutely that strong. He took out the entire village, ran the fade with Sage Naruto multiple times, beat the tailed beast form Naruto, and beat the most powerful ninja toads. He finally lost after Naruto got a refill from Minato, and exhausted that energy too. He ran a gauntlet, laughed about it, and ran it again. In the war arc he was competitive with 3 of the strongest ninja around at the same time. He isnt the strongest in the series obviously, but he deserves the credit he is given.

Pain and nagato are very powerful, we never get to see all the paths fight at once against an enemy without a handicap or massive amounts of intel and prep against them He also wasn't trying to kill naruto in either fight and was under kabuto's control against itachi. Many more things contribute to a fight more than "bro got susanoo'd" 😂
