I love games with multi-use components, so having to choose between bolstering a unit now vs retaining the option to activate the unit later is very intriguing. It all looks very nice, too.

When using the Marshal with the crossbowmen. Can the crossbowmen only attack one space, of use it's two space tactic attack?
@BrthrValta2 жыл бұрын
@@WatchItPlayed Not true. Marshall can't order other units tactics, only their normal one space attack if they have it. Crossbowman has normal one space attack. Archer and Lancer has no normal attack and cant be ordered by Marshall.
@WatchItPlayed2 жыл бұрын
Wanted to follow up with updated information (apologies for my earlier reply). The Marshall can't order other units to use their tactics, only their normal one space attack (if they have it). The Crossbowman has a normal one space attack, so the Marshall can order it to do that one space attack, but not it's tactic of 2 spaces. The Archer and Lancer do not have a normal attack, so they cant be ordered by Marshall. You'll find some of the these details in the FAQ of the rule book.

Hi, I've searched everywhere for this answer: What should I do if I finish my third round of three coins and there are still coins left in the bag?... It's only supposed to be three rounds of three coins, so if there are any leftovers they will remain in the bag and mix with the others from the discard to restart the new round?

Is this game fun? Finding out that units can only do very specific things makes it look unappealing to me. Also for context: I have undaunted Normandy, but think this is a more approachable game to have for my friends who like more family style and chill games. Would this be an waste of a purchase, doubling as another undaunted, or am I interested in it for a good reason?
@WatchItPlayed Жыл бұрын
Hi Joseph, I avoid trying to give personal recommendations - what would be a great fit for one person would be a terrible fit for someone else, and I wouldn't want to lead you in the wrong direction. Hopefully the videos can give you a sense of the game play so you can check that against your personal taste.

Isn't the Crossbowman an archer on esteroids? what's the difference?
@WatchItPlayed6 жыл бұрын
The Archer can attack anything 2 spaces away while the Crossbowman must attack in a straight line specifically. The Archer also may also attack over another unit, while the the Crossbowman must have no other units in the path of it's attack. That being said, the Archer cannot attack adjacent units, while the Crossbowman can.
@giraitnagamer6 жыл бұрын
Ok, the straight line is a severe drawback. However, the Crossbowman can easily attack the unit in the path and then try to shoot, but I see that the Crossbowman is supposed to be more close quarters and only be used on ranged attacks rarely while the archer is built to be behind some other units and attack anything with ease. Thanks for the quick answer!

It’s not hard to learn once you get the idea of using coins as player units on the board and also as action tokens to move those board units. As far as difficulty of winning a game, I’m no master strategist but once you and your opponent are well versed in the mechanics of play and coin management, it can be a very challenging /frustrating /rewarding experience to correctly calculate the odds to move the pieces as you need and minimize risks posed by the enemy.
