yes you do need to upgrade the tech for each unit...but you just have to choose the path that you would like to take...you do not need to upgrade all 3 slots

Don't have all the tech maxed, but the thorium cloud seems to be good ( Third slot in the thorium infusion set)

when we choose phase 2 we will got bonus phase 1 also..but if we choose phase 3 we will not get the bonus phase 1 n 2...what i understand..its right?

correct....phase 1 will carry over to...the phase 2 you choose
