"The death of my beloved husband prompted me to sign a contract with the Armed Forces," says Yaryna Chornohuz. She serves in the marines. And Yaryna is a poet who at the age of 28 became a laureate of the Shevchenko Prize, the highest literary award in Ukraine. The girl was awarded for the poetry collection "[dasein: defense of presence]".
What is the significance of the Shevchenko Prize for her? How did Yaryna get to the "Hospitaliers" and what did she go through to become a marine? Are relationships possible in war? And what was she thinking, fighting next to her beloved man?
And also - is culture important during the war and what to do with those Ukrainians who are still "in the shell".
Watch and listen to the "++ podcast" - a conversation between serviceman Serhii Hnezdilov and Yaryna Chornohuz.
