When I was younger I used to hear stories that the Thracians or Slavs used to go into battle under the rhythm of 7/8s, or so called “ruchenica” in Bulgarian. One two, one two, one two three, repeating. It sounded like a weird fairy tale. Now I understand what they meant.

I kept having visions of this playing for the trailer of like a werewolf movie or something, someone staggering through the woods bleeding of a werewolf bite and then slowly transforming as the village gathers weapons to deal with him. We used to try to mimic Japanese war drums "taiko" in marching band back in the day.. the tenor lick you use isn't unlike some of the licks we used to drop.. always gets the crowd out of their seats..
