correction for the film makers, that orangutan that was been whipped, was female not male. males are much larger, and have cheek pads like Maurice
@vin97915 ай бұрын
Actually the cheek pads are just a sign of dominance in males, growing larger depending on status. What’s interesting is that males who grow up with low status can actually grow to look more ”female-like” with much smaller body size and no cheek pads. These males who look female will be tolerated by the other males, either because they’re no threat or that they just look so female that the dominant males dont care. So it makes perfect sense that a male orangutan would not be growing/keeping his dominant cheek pads when he is in prison where he has no power whatsoever.

Not really a brain teaser on that one. One is feared because of how obviously crazy and power hungry he is. Caesar's issue is self-imposed thinking he's feared because they followed Koba and he killed Koba which has weighed heavily on him.

@atriox72216 ай бұрын
Kingdom is set centuries later, Cornelius will possibly be the great x10 grandfather of an ape king somewhere. Maybe the main ape protagonist will be his descendant even. But it’s set in the lands of a ape society that’s ruler is well read on preserved books detailing parts of human history, so he’s a fanboy for evolution and conquest. It’s an interesting concept since he may have some colonial superiority or even nazi superiority values against humans, or even lesser ape species due to a twisted translation of evolution and how it related to the rise of non hominid apes. And he is a big fan of European history like the rise of Rome by the looks of his goals so rights of conquest may be his strategy to spark an age of grandiosity and advancement for his people. The scary thing is that this would mean he’s on the right track and generally not different from 99.9999% of all human villages/tribes/kingdoms/empires in our history that saw basically any growth and mention in history. The Roman’s and the British were ruthless yet quite reasonable for such expansionist tribes, and still they caused unfathomable death tolls with some evil rulers. Scarily this may even be how they start the path towards the British empire inspired form we saw in the originals (although I’m sure it will be much more subtle and believable this time), with the kingdom movie showing the start of a trend towards idolisation of the British, humanities biggest empire that made it to the age of humanities greatest advances (especially since the empire ended as written documentations of our history became much less prevalent). Basically, we way either see a story of defeating this bad ape king and stopping a crusade on the inferior humans and other apes to clear land for his kingdom, happy ever after, or we see him still be defeated, but his new legacy of more focus on human records and British (for most likely example) copying. Which we could assume sees the achievements and many other aspects of the British empire be written down into new books just without wasting paper on mentioning the origin of this deemed valuable information. That would be the smartest way to make the future remakes of the very original series work really well, since it sees some degree of britishification by that point in time in homage to the originals, removes the memory of humans past success (centuries of only having books with human information but no mention of the human involvement in getting it), while justifying a very rapid societal advancement through the Stone Age to their own industrial revolution. Of course if they do go for something drastically different I’d by hyped, especially if they derail from the past series entirely and any later movie’s see a totally different evolution of the apes that gives us a very new and alien earth by the time the spacemen return home.

To me: the disease mutated and took away the human’s speech, kinda hinting like how humans can’t understand animals. Now apes can speak and can’t understand the humans now. The humans aren’t primitive because like animals, they are still smart and capable of doing things. Just because we can’t understand one another, it doesn’t mean one’s better than the other 🤷🏻♀️
