I cannot help but see this battle report much like the day before the battle of Gettysburg when John Buford tells Gamble the Southern Army is going to strike toward Gettysburg. Gamble asked how did he know and Buford replied you can feel the energy of the beast. Hearing you report the situation out past Ryazan seems exactly the same. I really enjoy how you are reporting the build up. If true there is the likely panzer army getting refit close to Tula (the German will need the rail head). I think you are right. Will the German hit while the ground is hard (frozen) before the rain comes? That is only a six week window (at best). I am learning so much from you. Victory hides failure, defeat shines a light on it. I keep asking what else could you have done differently? When you point out that oil is likely going to be a problem, I was caught off guard. Your elastic defense needs to pressure the German breakthrough but that needs tanks and they need that fuel (duh). Cannot wait to see what you do next. Thank you.
