I’m a combat vet and I’m just to old and hurt from my previous military days and told the wife of this was 25 years ago I would of went especially with both my parents being Ukrainian I was born in Massachusetts. I did meet a kid who just left for Poland he joined the Ukrainian army and I couldn’t be more proud of that kid that’s selfless service n I wish him and all those fighting glory in the end

I love the subtle yet powerful charisma of these guys. You can't train that into troops - only real warfare can. The best was the calm certainty of the unit commander who put in perfect perspective the idea of permanently giving up any Ukrainian territory to the Russians in negotiations - let those countries advising it give the Russians some of their OWN territory and see how it feels.

Having followed the big European news agencies for quite a while now, one thing is sure: *France 24 (English) does the best, up-and-close war docus from Ukraine.* They manage to convey the raw aspects of the war, their interviews are interesting and well thought-through, previously they've also had great segments looking into military equipment and the technical aspects, and, they do *longer* mini-docus than most others. *Hopefully there is new episode coming up soon again!*

You either document one or another, giving their pertinent perspective. The ukrainians are done for. Massive amounts of their soldiers are refusing orders and refusing to go to the front lines because they are getting slaughtered. They said it would take many months to capture the luhansk region after the "tactical withdrawal from severodonetsk" and it fell in only 8 days. All the capable troops ukraine had are dead, injured or captured. And recently Zelensky said that even woman may have to start fighting as well. He doesn't care if every man and woman dies in this war because the US and Europe made him and his cronies billionaires and he will just fly to Europe as the russians close in on kyiv. Although the reporter tried to paint an optimistic picture. But the soldiers body language and eyes scream (fear, uncertainty, anxiety). This is the face of war but as they say (war is a game of deception).
