Well, to me Brutus has a lot more in common with Russian Circles that Ms O'connor. I guess musical references differ with musical backgrounds ;)

That was nice. A new band for me as well, but apparently Belgian, and part of the post-xxx (post-rock, post-metal etc) bands of which there are pleeenty. A lot of that music isn't necessarily very suited for reactions, but the best of that breed certainly deserves regular listening on your (and others) Spotify-lists. I would highly recommend you to e.g. listen to the whole (instrumental) album Hymn to the Immortal Wind by Mono. A stunning and beautiful listening experience. Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky among many others are also great in that genre, and based on a short sampling of various songs after this one, this band, Rufus, should be given a chance as well. And since you mentioned Pau, the singing drummer from The Warning... well... whenever you have time :-)

Sad that your Patreons aren’t guiding you through the huge assortment of great bands. Relying on KZbin will take you down a rabbit hole that is mostly forgettable bands/music but there will be a few gems. Sadly, this isn’t one of them for me.

@@jen.g. I agree with you. Brutus are awesome, I saw them live in 2018 and they kicked-ass. Another great bands with female drummer vocalists are The Warning and Gacharic Spin or DOLL$BOOX (they share the same musicians)
