If you haven't already, you guys really need to check out "Summer", "All Day Music", and "The World Is A Ghetto" by these guys. I'm telling you now, they will blow your mind. When I was a much younger guy, I got to see them perform with Parliament/Funkadelic, and to this day it is one of the greatest concerts this pasty white boy ever attended...outside, in the cool summertime breeze. Everyone was there...black, white, Puerto Rican, you name it, and we were all havin' a gooood time! Why? Because we had it like that back then. It was all about the music. Peace out! ✌😎

I well remember the Summer of 1975, the album "Why Can't We Be Friends?" was everywhere, especially on the radio. The title track and "Low Rider" were BIG hits, and it made me vary happy every time it came on. The only band member of WAR I know for sure is the Harmonica player, Lee Oskar. Great song, great reaction.

In a lot of states your car couldn't have bumpers higher or lower than a certain specified standard. In 1959, a customizer named Ron Aguirre developed a way of bypassing the law with the use of hydraulic Pesco pumps and valves that allowed him to change ride height at the flick of a switch. Ron Aguirre developed this modification with help from his father, after conceiving of the idea. And so the birth of lowriders was born.

I saw a few at a car show in the mid 70s and was hooked. I also love the paint jobs, the engraving, the chrome everything... I was 9 when this song came out, I got the 45 the day it hit radio (cool cousins). I hadn't a clue what a low rider may be. Fast forward to the ripe age of just past 13, and I bought 2 baby blue 64 Chevs for $500, of my own money (good taste is maybe a gene thing). I then also bought a 53 (1st hemi) Dodge, and later a 53 Chev. I was a damn Mexican lowrider before I ever saw one, and I'm a Scot Canadian Prairie boy. Still love this song, still love the cars, still love the music, the culture, and the vibe. Miss all my old cars though.

This song will forever remind me of my daughter as a teen who would make up her own lyrics to songs. From her bedroom one morning I heard her singing to this song as she dried her hair : Blow- dry-er- blow a little harder. Blow- dry-er- dry a little hotter. Use a lil gel -use a lil gel, use a lil gel and see-ee. I died laughing and now her lyrics are what I hear when this song plays. I have this on the best of WAR cd and its one of my fav cruising cds to play.

"Brooks & Dunn - Play Something Country (Official Video)" (by the channel: Brooks & Dunn) --Brooks & Dun is an American country music duo consisting of Kix Brooks (lead guitarist) and Ronnie Dunn (lead vocalist) both of whom are vocalist and songwriters. The duo was founded in 1990 and have recorded 11 studio albums and a Christmas album. They also released 50 singles of which 20 went to number #1 on the Hot Country Songs charts and 19 more reached Top 10...in otherwards there are more Bangers to explore in future, if interested. peace out~
