Love this set so much. It's a big point in the history of the game as these alt arts kinda foreshadow both Showcase frames and Secret Lairs (with the unique art styles). Also as a fun fact, the artist for the Nicol Bolas alt art, Kaida Yuji, did a lot of the movie posters and promotional art for the Godzilla franchise, so it makes me wonder if the Zilla alternates were already in the works at this time.

Agree with you on so many points here, I also enjoyed WAR more than Throne, I just never enjoyed drafting Throne as much as other people, especially compared to WAR (that is coming from a person who generally dislikes planeswalkers). And I also looove the alt art, especially Tamiyo (which is my go-to playmat art), Vraska, Narset, Saheeli and Karn ... just gorgeous.

I saw these on the internet but opening one was a totally different experience!!! And yesss WAR draft was so fun, especially keeping track of counters and that feeling when you proliferate and have to update at least 3 things, oooooh!!!
