I spied with my little eye 376 Command points to use...😃 My crystal ball suggests a CV, a BB, and a BC plus escorts. Of course, there's always the dull but essential option of spending it all on logistics. I suspect what most people desire is watching the RN carve its way through the Regia Marina and Kriegsmarine, but sometimes you have to sacrifice glory for the wider picture. I'm looking forward to seeing which way you jump, Taff. 😊❤❤❤😊

BB is bollocks, too slow and costly. BC - well okay. CVs work even better in PAIR... Sinking enemy ships is glorious, but they have damn deep "pockets" so keep throwing in more and more... in real war, that would be OK, but it takes months and years to deplete them this way... would be quite long campaign. To speed this up, you need to go after enemy (air)bases, taking some while destroying the rest...

@SYNtemp That's an interesting opinion on battleships. Personally, if I were to run into an enemy fleet, I'd rather have the big guns than not. Carriers are great until they inadvertently run into heavy cruisers or bigger. At which point they have a strong tendency to exit the battle via the seafloor. I'm sure Taff will do what he thinks is right.

@@markstott6689 Well yes, but there are no things like free meals... you have to consider the cost... also, one won battle is nothing, and after two or three, you are damaged and dry on ammo... so need to return... there, speed is important. Most of the times, with (or without) his manoeuvering, usually one of your destroyers is the "leading ship" so bears the brunt of enemy fire. If you do not screw up badly (to meet enemy equal in strenght or stronger than you) then you need just the firepower (and ammo) not the armor, so BC is allmost as good as true BB, while being faster and cheaper... I'd personally prefer to have three CAs than one battleship. They are fast, pack enough punch and can bombard bases. CLs are somewhat "can do most things but not expert in any" and CAN'T bombard. Destroyers are necessary for submarine protection, but need to be closely watched in naval batles (and retreated early enough, as long as still moveable, if immobilised then might be too late. but replacement is not extra costly and you solve the "replenishement" too...) If you manage your airpower well, then surface battles are wery seldom (and usually strongly in your numerical favour)

And please remember, no "fair" fights, this is not medieval chivalry, this is modern warfare. Crush the enemy with numbers, advanced technology, range and firepower... best if you can attack him while he can't respond at all (air attacks, longer range guns - but that might fail if game places you too close at start of battle)

Devastating day for the Italian Navy. The sacrifice of those brave pilots and crew will not go unnoticed. Considering the results of air attacks against enemy ships, I recommend the command resupply and upgrade allied airfields as soon as possible. Tunis and Kalamata being the priority. It will probably require new supply convoys. Sending a small group to take Marseilles and establish a small airfield there is also a good idea. It should provide scouting missions for early warning against enemy task forces moving towards the port and especially the carrier group in the vicinity.

IF the target ship is standing still, it MIGHT be worth waiting until the other enemy ships take distance so can't provide AA support... the aircraft can spend few hours waiting for that, just turning low speed circles around...

HELP, I really love your channel but need some help on how to load the two MODS to play this version of the game. Did you load your MODS in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\War on the Sea location? I have and using JSGME into a MODS folder , but the game continues to run with the Base Game. Can you Advise?

Aircraft carrier CAN'T attack enemy bases... best case, it can give cover to heavy cruisers (and up) who CAN bombard bases... high speed night "dash" by heavy cruisers is quite effective method to kick out enemy bases, provided you can protect those bombarding ships when they're retreating back (usually during daylight) from revenge of the aircraft from the "remaining" airbases. In this scenario where land airbases are many, airpower rules. Build up your bases, prtect them and use them to level enemy bases in concentrated attacks (like bombers starting in evening, attacking (bombing) during night (where enemy can't launch fighters for defense), while at same time naval bombarding same base (by CA, BC and BB, whichever of them you have, but BBs usually slow down the group so not preferable)... if you have enough assets attacking same target during same night, you MIGHT succeed in kicking the airfield down all the way to zero, which would be nice as no enemy airplanes starting from there in the morning to catch your retreating ships... or you protect those by CAP right after daylight.

FIVE lost Beaufighter for NOTHING?? Damaged ship will repair... but this time the attack was about right, no basic error, just unlucky. Would be worth trying to manage the two groups to attack at same time (saves some of them from AA fire which can't fire after both groups at same time)... You might try to "update" the attacking torpedo aircraft with attack order while they're "half way" through at they update their course according to evtl. changes in enemy position/speed...

The rockets are so OP against subs lol idk why you were even scared about the bombers being intercepted, since that has literally never happened Obviously play the game how you like, but I'd much rather see surface engagements than just 'oh, enemy fleet spotted, send B17s, now it's dead'

He did once. With the Nelson against some heavy cruisers 7 destroyers. And ended up losing Nelson cause AI accuracy

What TF was that AGAIN AND AGAIN dividing attack between THREE ships?? That was a chance to maybe sink two ships, one sunk is not bad but two damaged is worthless... enemy will repair those two between engagements, so damage is nearly worthless...

Use TF map for displaying ships position during sea battles... youre driving them like "bots" they just take fixed course and let auto gunnery try... that is awfull.
