April 29th, 1975. 22 Gia Long. I'm no hero. Sometimes I feel like maybe I'm a villain. As an Embassy employee I always had hot coffee and cold beer when I needed it. I knew nothing of the suffering in Vietnam. I had no idea how bad it was out there. And then I find the nightmare foisted upon me, wrenching me from my cushy desk job and throwing me into the apocalypse. And I can't help but be weighed down by thoughts like "I deserve it. I kinda don't even wanna get on the chopper."

I am working on a documentary about a Vietnam War helicopter pilot who served 5 tours. Would it be possible to use some of this audio in my project? The film will be show (at no cost) to Veteran groups, schools, libraries, etc, and after showing at film festivals, will be put on KZbin so anyone anywhere can watch it anytime at no cost. Are you open to letting us use your audio?
