The 76mm Jumbo has been highly requested since it's battle rating increase to 6.0. This wasn't the worst experience in war Thunder but 5.0 armor and a 5.0 gun facing 6.7 to 7.0 consistently was a long day.

@@asiftalpur3758 Since gaijin removed the 20mm armor plate that was previously behind the T29/T30/T34 gun mantlet(Although maybe they didnt remove it on the T29 since that is a premium and they would get into legal issues). You can now pen the T34 and T30 gun mantlet frontaly at up to 1500m. Also alt least the T29 family tanks have that big flat muzzle break that you can shoot to destroy the gun barrel. If you shoot at the Tiger 2s tiny muzzle break with a 76mm gun there is a high chance that the shot will bounce and only slightly yellow the gun barrel. I s*** you not this is actualy the case and it is because gaijin f***ed up the "armor" moddeling on the long 88 gun barrel. If you go into armor view you will see that the gun barrel on the tiger 2 is shaped like a cone/spike on the front. It is so stupid but it is still the case. Also how am I supposed to flank when everything I fight with a M4A3(76) from a Tiger 1 with angled armor/ a panther faceing me frontaly, to the Jagdpanther, Ferdinand, Tiger 2H and now even THE JAGDTIGER is ether only killable threw weakspots or completely impossble to penetrate? What am I supposed to do if everywhere I go there is always a tank that outmatches me. Not to mention that the Panther has a higher HP/T ratio (Is more mobile and faster then the M4A3) so that if the german players have some brainmatter they can cut of my flanking routs and I cant do s***.

@@jakobc.2558 I don't agree with 76 jumbos BR, it should be 5.7 without a shred out doubt. What I'm trying to do here is to repeat back what was said to me and many German players in their tiger H1/E when they faced off T29/34. We were told to just flank bro in our tiger 1s since no shells on that tank be it standard or APCR could pen(and still can't pen) the turret anywhere. Naturally, a 105 and 155 will have a bigger muzzle break compared to a smaller 88 caliber(T34 doesn't have one), you can reliably cannon barrel a tiger 2 H with any gun. It's about placing the shots right. The reason why I'm saying this is that even if the jumbo goes down, a similar argument will pop for T20 and T25. You can cannon barrel any tank with a well placed shot honestly you're nitpicking.

There's little a Jumbo can do against most tanks on BR 6.0 and above especially facing Tiger2Hs and Tiger2H 105 and the Sla.16 those Tigers are the only ones a Jumbo 76 have no hope in penning from the front...the same thing with the Italian Pershings the Jumbo struggles in 6.0...

You don't really need to worry about Tigers but Panthers don't need to aim for the MG port, they will go right through your front and crack you open

The Jumbo 76 should be BR 5.7 AT MOST. It’s literally impossible to kill a Tiger IIH and Ferdinand from the front or angle, which the Jumbo sees REGULARLY. The Easy 8 should be at BR 5.0 (not fkn at 5.7), with the other 76mm Shermans at BR 4.7.

@Dustan Stumbo That's because the M4A3E2 Jumbo technically isn't a heavy tank, contrary to what War Thunder labels it as. It's a medium tank, a modified M4A3 with extra plating welded to the front of the tank, but is otherwise pretty much the same tank. Edit: The sides also have extra armour.

Well, there is also the fact that the M4A3E2 76 W Jumbo is grossly overtiered in this game. It fights Tiger IIs and Panther IIs which can penetrate it frontally rather quite easily, rendering the extra armour redundant. Panther Is and Tiger Is can also penetrate if you fight at close quarters and don't angle the vehicle.
