(Though I guess the same goes for a lot of other European countries as well.) In contrast, Americans just don't really know what real bread is. Bo's comment is more evidence for that.

"Frenchman's knife" is first and foremost for "casser la croute" (have a snack, literraly "break the crust"). So it must be easy to keep on oneself and of reasonable size (preferably folding). Opinels and Laguioles are definite favorites, closely followed by swiss army knives. At the risk of being cliché, s, the corkscrew versions are highly regarded, because nothing beats the holly "bread, saucisson/pâté, cheese with wine" menu. Incidentally, the French Army-issued "Tatou" knife has all these qualities (small, foldable, cork-screw and can opener)

The thought about dog thinking to eat me actually gave me some anxiety. My little fluffy angel is about 130lbs, crushes fresh bones from pig or cow with almost no effort. That's kinda scary not gonna lie. He is a mix of German shepherd and Flat coated retriever, and he is a BIG BOI, but also incredibly cute and soft, also he is easily scared Which is ridiculous when he's scared of plastic bag compared to his size.
