Personally I'd say wait until Xmas or a Steam sale and get Darth Plagis over a premium Griffon, the Griffons are okay but I'd rather have the LF for that low alt horsepower and agility. I mean sure the Griffon is better at high alt but with USA teams generally be ground pounding tanker trash at 6k you are gonna be facing a swarm alone so I find it easier to use the tanker trash as bait and then pick off those going after them and sub 2k the LF just feels more responsive.

I picked up the 7.7 Griffon when i had a 75% off coupon. I can't aim for shit with the 50's but have found when i did, they hit hard. I got a soft spot for the Seafire MK17. Reminds me of a more powerful MK 9 with Hispano MKV's.

It pretty much is, you lose turnrate but you gain in other areas. The 7.7 Griffon would be better given the lackluster results of the 12.7's in most situations. Im glad they worked this battle tho!

To be honest I was debating at the time whether it was possible, but after seeing that greedy mustang pilot get slapped, and seeing the amount of damage I did to the 288, I held on with hope and won

It was no killsteal he wasnt burning at the time when the P-51H killed him. But its not nice when you do the work ,disassemble a enemy aircraft and another blue player comes in and take the kill just in the moment when you ready to give him the final blow. Had it yesterday in Spit MkXIVe a blue F8F-1 called for help when he was in disadvantage against a G-56 , i joined the fight and shot the G-56 off his tail, G.56 was burning (he was going down) just in that moment the F8F turned and shot the Wreck out of the air. Was really pissed about that and wrote him that in chat he apologized later in PM. I dont go into other Players fights or shoot at burning planes, if the fire goes out or hes retreating RTB then its a different thing. I discovered more and more Players flying circles around me/follow me when i position to attack, they dont engage enemy , they stay at a safe distance until you did the dangerous work damaging the enemy Bomber or Fighter and thats the moment when they engage and often got the easy kill. Iam sick of such a playstyle i do the work got damaged and they got the reward/Kill , so in the last 4-5 weeks i killed two such greedy lil suc...., but iam a nice, polite and kind person and every time i apologize for the TK. Dont know how often i wrote in chat "let him burn out" "dont go for him" but as i said before if the fire goes out its a different story. As for the Griffons yesterday i Aced my MkXIVe with 40 loses and around 350 airkills, with the MkXVIIIe to my surprise i have a much better KD with 6 Loses and 102 Kills with only a small fraction ( 10-20%) are air Bots because i like Playerkills, i love the MkXVIII and buyed a very beautyful skin from Marketplace for the MkXVIIIe.

I have always had terrible teams when I fly these things, but they are way over BR'd. I do like the Mk XIVe the best out of the Griffons, but to be honest, with the BR compression, they're almost impossible to have any fun in anymore.
