Thank you so much for this, I am just starting to get back into the game, and been playing nothing but T1 planes, decided to buy the XP-38G as it is my favorite US Fighter, and was only $15 with premium and gold. but I was having a hell of a time trying to fight. Now I know how to better approach the target, and handle myself. It'll take time, but at least I can practice in the right direction now.

Oh! Magz! Have you thought that using the option of engine controls to your advantage with a damaged engine? You can turn it off periodically to cool it off if you're nursing it back home before turning it back on to gain altitude or to engage in a fight (If necessary) and then to land with it?

Side note in the last map all the zeros start from the carriers only j2m's and Kis go from up, so half their team starts in the sky. But never less your team did amazing job and it is rare to see US team players climb. Good job with kills too.

Magz, I think that you should point out that in the last fight your altitude over enemy success was because of targets they had below them to dive on. Because most of "side climbers" do this common mistake. They think that their altitude will give them an automatic win, and team mates are not important.

Point is I wouldn't have needed to use them as bait If they had gained some altitude and we didn't need to out climb the Japanese to have a usable amount of altitude. Its the way the current meta is working but its also the reason US teams loose so many matches. Doesn't have to be that way.

+MagzTV Yes, you are right, but even I didn't take that phrase as advise to use enemy's lack of focus on you to your advantage, while I know that this is much more vital to victory. Most people would take it as "They're not worth of anything", especially when you just took altitude over everyone and nailed every single one :D It is definitely not your problem, but this kinda brings up the problem, since most of WT players do not know how to use that altitude advantage, especially when target isn't focused on shooting down your team mates. And while they keep failing at that, they still believe that this is the 100% right thing to do for every case, because it worked for people like you. Anyways, the reason I take your time here is basically why I subscribed :D Your videos feel very informative, so I thought it would be worth to point out that some valuable information is slipping away. That is ofc if it's the reason why you make these videos in the first place.

+MagzTV P-38 K is actually P-38K-1-LO. The P-38k was a RP-38E Piggy back trainer 40.media.tumblr.com/0ff67e521118dd3cf030c623fabd6992/tumblr_nltd6bi3kt1tgclzlo1_1280.jpg. The P-38K-1-Lo was a P-38G tested in late 1943 around the same time of development and implementation of P-38 Dive Recovery Flaps. With the P-38K-1-LO being an in house development model there is a good chance dive recovery flaps would have been present on that aircraft. Problem is I have no rock solid prof that there where dive recovery flaps on this or any of the other improvements from the J model this aircraft was originally going to be. Hopefully with them adding these P-38 we will eventually get the p-38J and P-38L with dive recovery flaps and improved controls for high speed maneuvering.

nice, the p-38K have 1425hp engines, and better cooling system which should climb well with the 109k4 and boosted ailerons. still waiting for the 1600hp p-38J and p38L version, to finally climb with the 190s . also p-38 after the H version have better 20mm cannon....which hopefully something gaijin mess up with the P-38K and up

Wow. Four japanese planes, four fires. And they say Zeroes are OP. Even if you breathe in their general direction, they fall to pieces. Americans have faster (both in level and dive flight, maybe on par in climbs), more armored, more punchy machines - and generally face planes they just can't lose to, like a P51 vs an A6M3. In my opinion, the only way for a japanese pilot to face US forces right now is buying a FW. Or hope for some braindead pilots who try to turnfight you.

Sprog1 there has been lots of talk on the WT forums about adding an international tree and we have even gotten confirmation from Gaijin that it is a thing that will happen eventually. The IAR 80 is one of the most prominent and frequently asked for plane to be added to the tree and will most likely appear when it is released

The reliability of those guns.... Almost every hit a critical. It makes me so envious. You just don't get that from German guns, which I use mostly since I came back to the game after a 1 year hiatus. You have to empty half your ammo load into an enemy to score a critical hit with those fucking German guns and it frustrates me so much that after all those years they refuse to fix that problem. Or better said, they refuse to see it as a problem. German guns only producing sparkles has been a problem when I started playing the game in patch 1.31, it was still a problem when I stopped playing the game in patch 1.41 and it is still a problem now that I came back a year later. What makes it even more frustrating is that in between there have been 1 or 2 weeks during which German guns were fixed, but they always get nerfed again right away with the next patch or hotfix. Isn't it bad enough that their low muzzle velocity makes it hard to hit stuff with them? Do we really need to make them that weak and unreliable on top of that? I'm so sick of those matches in which I score hits on 3 or 4 different enemies and don't get a single critical. I think I might have killed more guys my spooking them into crashing into the ground than by actually damaging their planes, since I came back to the game.

Angus Cooke Maybe the wrong ammo belt. I use Tracers for the 7mm and 13mm (stealth for the 13mm is an option too). For the 20mm and 30mm i use air targets. I had 5 kills with my Bf109 F4 some days ago. BTW: IAI or IA is almost useless. Unfortunately. -.-

TrangleC Maybe you should use stealth for 20s (or airtarget is fine too) the 30 mm has i think four ammo belt, but only the default sucks.With the other three its 1 click 1 kill. Just practice your aim, cause i play with my D-13 for 2 years now, and use to get 2-3 kills in it using around 80-100 bullets in total.
