The gains are not massive. Russia is still fighting a war of attrition rather than making breakthroughs. These gains are not breakthroughs. They are pushing the Ukrainians back by small increments, in some places. They have not broken the Ukrainian lines anywhere. The high Ukrainian loses are more relevant than the small bits of territory. When they don't have enough men to hold the line, there will be breakthroughs.

What’s amazing in a bad way is the fact the Ukrainian Allie’s have been closely watching them fall back in many sectors and still do nothing. The Ukrainians can only sustain that much pressure, it’s only matter of time b4 they completely withdraw from Donetsk
