I main resto druid, as soon as my team understands mechanics and can avoid the avoidable damage, we blast keys. Until then, it's a absolutely painful experience trying to keep everyone's health up.

And that's where Rdruids fail and fall behind. It's a shitty design choice to have a spec that is only playable when everyone else is playing perfectly. We have almost no "Oh shit" buttons. Tranq is completely nerfed. Convoke is rng based if it's gonna target someone low or cast a thrash. It's insanity how our spec feels and plays. Bring back Legion rdruid.

As a normal Rdruid main, I gave it up for M+ this expac for now. Shaman feels better to play and I'm not struggling so hard when the group misplays.

Yeah, resto generally lack burst heal (which is fine, it's a HoT based spec and we can't have everything). However, the lack of any "oh shit" buttons when the whole group is low makes it kind of painful, because it means you more or less are at the mercy of other players knowing all mechanics. I do think the new talent updates will help somewhat on our burst, if we can manage to take the new talent that cast 60% Nourish from OoC. Still, seeing everyone at 20% because they stood in fire or didn't interrupt a cast makes it miserable to play resto druid.

Resto Druid. I just can't atm in mythics. Too many players not doing mechanics which means healing goes to shit. I've now moved to rsham, which seems to be the way to go for S1.

Its not that bad man. This happens every expansion, people before the release of expansion starts a rumour about a certain class being weak etc and people literally avoid playing that class and not inviting them to keys. This happened many times many many many times. The most recent instance i rememver was during dragonflight i joined a group and we were waiting for healer for a long while and we got a mistaeaver woth high rating and itemlevel in que and i said healer in que invite then leader and his friend said ‘its a mistweaver no way’ and disnt invite the guy and we waited for another 6-7 minutes. This happened during raids as well, people would invite lower ilevel clases even though that there were higher ilevel mistweavers in que. Its not copium the druid maybe b tier or higher and its heal output can do any type of content with no problem.

Rdruid prolly best pug healer right now. I have no idea why people picture it so bad. It literally provides the least CD reliance while having the best throughput. Other healers literally need big cooldowns to do that.

I always liked how straight forward H priest was. In the past it felt like there was enough utility to make it worth bringing one. Hopefully they get some help to keep them competitive in mythic plus.

Imho with how solid Disc is in raiding this tier, I think Blizz moving forward should make HPriest a more M+ focused spec and DPriest more of a raid focused spec. I'm a disc main through and through since like BfA, mostly because Holy has been in the meta so few times in that period. HPriests honestly need their time in the light (pun intended)

if they would swap coh and prayer of healing around in the healing tree it would already help with the aoe heals, but now when coh is in reality 2 points away form prom talents and nothing boosts it without even more talents and you give up things that do have synergy to get it - nope. So yeah if they give coh baseline or swap locations there could be hope. Oracle can be strong - just lacks utility and aoe heals.

MW monk needs a brez or some sort of util like that (Lust, shorter CD mass dispell, decurse). Damage feels reeeally low even after the buffs and considering how DPS is directly tied to healing with MW, it's pretty rough. A big concern is that they might take the same direction HPal did mid last xpac, becoming slightly more cast focused. WIth enveloping mist procs, chi burst, sheilun's gift and with upcoming reworks potentially making jade lightning viable again it's kinda scary. I really like where it's at with fistweaving, it's by far the most fun healer rn imo and I hope they don't stray away from it more and more over time.

Heroic week nerfs are entirely based on raid performance. M+ balancing usually happens 1 or two ID's after the RWF has finished.

Ellesmere did say holy paladin logs were falsely inflated due to how Logs tracked the healing with light of the martyr talented. It was counting as an increase in HPS instead of a decrease; Blizz took that and ran with it apparently. Holy Paladins are still doing great healing, even after the nerf. It is a valid question though. Kinda rough to see the two of them have no tuning despite their huge numbers. I mean, look at Liquid using 2 Pres evokers to 3 heal a mythic boss 🙃

Thanks for sharing your opinion! I'm not that optimistic with Restodruids honestly since we have better alternative slots for that motw. Guardian druids are looking REALLY strong in S1, just slightly worse in taking and dealing damage than protwar but bringing the better utility. In a world where we wont be able to pull off VDH in highkeys, my bucks are on guardian bringing the motw. And IF that vdh comp works out, boomkin seems like a top choice since they're seriously overtuned right now (frost dk type overtuned), thanks to those stupid af hero week buffs (which are mostly based on dps padding. Poor Furywarriors.). I'd love to see how that shapes out, since throughput wise VDH//Boomkin//FrostDK//Aug//Rsham seems to outperform VDH//Boomkin//Arcane//Aug//Rsham and has all the bases covered. Yeah, I'm talking about a season without mages making the meta cut. Yeah, I know its kind of copium. But less copium than assuming Restodrood makes it.

I'd rather heal a good player on the worst tank than a bad player on a meta tank any day. Honestly the actual spec someone is playing doesn't really matter, it's just about whether they use their kit properly and most pugs don't.

And here's the honest healer take: A-Tier: Protwar and Guardian are exeptionally easy to heal, even if they're playing like apes. B-Tier: Blood Dk and VDH. If they're messing up, its not your fault. If they dont, you have a pretty chill time. C-Tier: Protpal. The difference between a good and a bad Protpal is astounding. With a healspec which is not capable of frequent emergency heals (aka not being hpal+hpriest), a bad Protpal will be a nightmare to play with. D-Tier: You guessed it, BRM. Once you get into the 7+ range you'll notice that even very decent monktanks will need intense sustained healing while pulling off the pulls which the good dps classes need to shine.

I think MW really needs either a shorter mass dispel (or a choice node in tree that massively shortens the cooldown of revival at the cost of less healing?), a bloodlust, or a battle rez along with tuning of dps, pick one. Just my opinion as a MW Main. I like where things are at in other areas even if being in melee sucks a lot of the time. I dunno, I'm not a dev and don't know the impact changes would have.

I've mained MW Monk during DF S3, skipped s4, came back and it just feels more rough. but I feel like that's a bit more of characteristic of healing overall in this expansion - some heal checks are not for the faint of heart I'll tell ya. Would really like to see an improvement on the absorb shields from celestial harmony and niuzao for dealing with the unavoidable dmg. Decided to switch to tanking with my Warrior this week and just feels a loooot easier tbh, so maybe that's the path for me :D

Also, some of it, at least for me, is just people still getting used to dungeons, when to use defensive and other cooldowns, and get the boss mechanics down. That and just WoW tuning being eternally horrible.

Stonevault is notoriously nightmarish to pug - people refuse to do low keys to learn it, so they go into mid to high keys not knowing how to deal with shards, orbs, and duo boss. And some still don't know how to drop the dot on the last boss. And don't get me started on the high keys CoT healer check on the last boss.

People used to just damage in the jadefire stomp and do enough healing. Now dps is low so healing is low; and you have to play more as caster as you do in raid when burst damage incoming, and lot of MW don't know to do it.

Ive been playing resto Druid and I think they can heal, but it takes insane amount of mental energy, super fast execution, management of tree of life, and swiftness convoke the spirits. I think restó is hard, and that’s why people don’t consider it good. there is ALWAYS something you SHOULD be pressing and it’s not always obvious and with its pretty high haste. I think restó is suited for people with adhd and just want to press buttons really fast. If there’s always hots up even when they’re at full hp no one will drop unless they get shrekt by several things at once. Become a HOT BOT!

I have found for myself a big downside of the resto shaman (being one myself). The mana usage is sooooo high, i don't have the second bonus of the tier set but my mana cannot survive 70% of the raid boss fights, and the mana tide totem does absolutely nothing. When my shaman has mana can do a crap ton of healing but mana do not last long at all

Idk what people have with Rdruid, good healer and especially in pugs it's good. The only thing this tier list does is making my life harder lol^^ Shaman on the other hand is played totemic mostly, which can result is basically 0 healing and 0 mana in pugs... You guys have this very, very weird mindset of a run where everything works well and people are somewhat decent on their class. That's not the usual pug experience. You need to make a tier list based on "poor" gameplay and "worst case" scenarios. Like an pEvoker is and Rshaman are good with a decent group or a group you have comms with but in a regular pug? That's just not the case. But at least your tier list is not as delusional as dorkis. If you didn't say his name, I'd still think it's some random guy who is not even playing the game.

The one thing that bugs me for Mistweaver, despite being a full meele heal, focusing a lot on a proper damage rotation for output both ways, you don't do any fucking damage. A resto shaman does double that damage from 30 yards away while also just healing more. It's so stupidly imbalanced

@@cr1spbeatzplz Needing a shaman in the group is more of a reason to not put it in A tier. Needing another class in your group to cover your classes many short comings automatically means theres a problem with your class. Discs healing isnt enough to make up for the lack of utility

@@cr1spbeatzplz Though you really dont want that skyfury coming from a dps slot, with frost+aug being set in stone. Yeah ele and enh are looking really decent this time, but not as decent as boomkin, arcanemage and afflock.

I play a holy paladin, and I will tell you, in 10+ mythic pugs, its EXTREMELY painful, and we've been nerfed by 6% recently, and our lack of any significant ability to heal without holy shock (due to being on cooldown, you have 2 stacks) and not enough holy power, you get screwed. Outside of burst healing.. youre toast for steady incoming damage. Holy shock is weak weak weak for its cooldown and charge limitations, and holy light as well as flash of light being so weak.. its painful when wings or any other cooldown is not available. Also.. the issue is why does voker get a 20% AOE DR cooldown on 2 min cooldown, but our aura mastery is 3 min cooldown with 12% DR? It makes no sense.

Yeah, boomkin players complain the second they're not top DPS anymore and keep crying until they get buffed back to being top DPS again.

@@iamme625 The complaining has nothing to do with those buffs though. Tuning checks are entirely based off either representation (heal+tanks) or overall performance (dps). Boomkins just appear weak in statistics because there are a ton of specs with big short burst AoE and Nerubar offers a shitton of aoe padding oppurtunities. Ask yourself why Furywarriors got the nerfbat 🤡 Blizzard just has zero clue on how to evaluate raid statistics.

boomy is pretty solid in key situations but their single target is still hot garbage. Boomy issue is more spec design than throughput but apparently blizzard is too blind to figure that out for the last decade (given how it gets massive reworks every expansion)

@@AvatarRoku22 Well, it has to be hot garbage. A dot focused caster spec with good ST throughput tends to go completely nuts with target scaling. We've seen it countless times with affliction, spriest and last but not least boomkin itself. Example: S1 shadowlands affliction. Nerfed to oblivion at the start of S2. Thats arguably worse than starting low and getting some buffs. And om a sidenote: dot specs ways tend scale exceptionally well with ilvl, another thing to consider.

@polkhigh_33 slight miscalculation there. Boomie isn't dot focused spec like aff or spriest. the dots themselves do basically no dmg, they are just additional spinning plates we have to manage to ensure our mastery actually works since it's currently a zero-sum thing

I think Resto Druid / Brewmaster has the potential to be a really solid team. Nothing is likely to one shot a Monk ever, and Druids will have a nice kit to offset the Stagger damage along with Purifying and Celestial Brew.

I've healed a few pug BMs and holy hell they're hard to keep alive as rdruid. rdruid does terrible healing and BM takes too much damage. In an ideal world, you could just hot them up and keep them alive but you actually have to direct heal them for a lot of the dungeon. This isn't with bad gear either

@@iamme625 ^this. BRM is in a really unfortunate tuning spot right now, they need a brutal amount of sustained healing, only second to facehugging vdhs. If you want a chill time as an rdrood, look for a guardian or protwar tank, theyre brickwalls.

"high keys" this season is basically 12+, but some people will argue it's anything above 10 (where loot stops increasing).

Hpal is still a top choice for raidprogression yeah, but M+ wise Hpal just stinks in comparison to rsham. Its literally only good in those pugs where people take silly amounts of faildamage and require frequent emergency heals.

Playing disc with low haste stinks. Holy can be archon making halo a pretty short cd with big aoe healing until my gear starts having haste on it. Full crit vers atm
