Harris: I told Netanyahu it's time to end the war and sign a cease-fire deal
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris said she had a "frank and constructive meeting" with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday and reiterated her "unwavering commitment" to the U.S. ally's security.
The vice president and presumptive Democratic presidential candidate added that she told the Israeli prime minister that it is time to end the war and sign off on a cease-fire and hostage-release deal.

Israel says it is studying Hamas response to possible deal
The Israeli government has issued its first official remarks on Hamas’s response to a possible truce deal, stating that the group’s comments are being studied by all parties involved in the mediation process, but offering few details.
“Hamas’s reply has been conveyed by the Qatari mediator to the Mossad. Its details are being thoroughly evaluated by the officials involved in the negotiations,” a statement from Israel’s foreign intelligence agency, the Mossad, said on Tuesday, per the office of the prime minister.

Like the New York Times, the AP report notes that CIA director Bill Burns is expected to discuss the contours of the emerging agreement when he meets on Sunday in France with David Barnea, the head of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel for talks centered on the hostage negotiations.
