I only skimmed the comments real quick, so someone may have already answered it what the black part is. If you open up his chest the black part is the part that catches the ratchet when the combiner port folds out. Some people had them fall out of Air Burst. Both Turbo Ejector and Whirlwind (the two arm bots released since Air Burst) have had spares in case your figure came without them because they fell out. You have to take it off of the sprue piece then it slides onto a peg inside the figures torso with the tab sticking away from the oval catching on the port ratchet.

I kind of like the fact that the front propeller can rotate the back one, because it spares you the trouble of using both hands to rotate both individually. Yes, in real life the collision could be deadly, but this is a toy, so I'll let it slide.

Their extra piece is so that you can get pieces of the transformer out like the guns you saw how they had peg holes in the handle part da oh and the other part of the item is to hold on to da

emgo316 The extra piece is a ratchet replacement for Air Burst's combiner peg. A lot of the v1 Air Burst's (from BBTS) combiner pegs go limp and do not hold the positions required for combination. There is supposedly a new torso coming with Fierce Attack (Not-Onslaugh) for Air Burst as well to correct the non ratcheting legs. Unfortunately there are no instructions from anyone as of yet on how to install the replacement ratchet pieces.

the "unfortunate propeller" condition is actually useful. now both front and rear blades will spin together.

Very nice figure. Honestly, I would almost want him as just a stand-alone figure. A few little QC issues, but that seems to be an across the board problem for this line. Plus it doesn't look like it hurts the figure too much. My only real gripe is that the arms/wings don't fold down in limb mode and just jut out awkwardly like that. I was going to say something about the propellers not being collapsible (not terrible, but I prefer the option), but those extra pegs turning them into arm blades more than makes up for it and was an awesome touch. Also, have I gone crazy, because for the life of me I can't remember having seen a review for Swindle. Did I just miss it, or is it on the way?

I think the propeller thing isn't a "design flaw", I think that maybe it was intentional. Maybe the company wanted it to hit into the one in the back to make so both propellers could be spinning at the same time.

Hi Emgo I got that piece and 2 other pieces like it but with a section cut out of the 'clip' part. Someone told me in Peaugh's comment section that they are to fix Blastoff's ratchet joint(s). Not sure how, and the ratchet on my Blastoff seems fine.

yo emgo, that weird piece looks like a ratchet joint replacement on a stem. i think it's meant to replace one that may break on a figure, if any of them have that problem. what you do is you'd cut it off that stem and insert it where needed.

Not sure it really counts as parts forming when the part becomes the weapon though, it is a really nice helicopter and robot mode; only complaint I would have on his colour scheme might be to add some of that grey to break up the blue on his head but other than that it's a pretty nice recreation of G1 Vortex. I'd love to get some of these 3rd party combiners but the price--yeah can't personally justify spending that much, oh well. XD

Ohhh thank you Sir! Now I know that those little clear yellow parts do. The instructions are utter crap, never mentioned those were stored in the cockpit. Didn't mention the small twin rocket launchers on the arms either until logic told me they were from there.

It looks like a great figure to me. Combiners that manage to form a good limb AND have a nice robot mode AND have a nice alt mode are too rare to not win in my book. So people complain about the parts- forming, people complain about the chest design (which doesn't even make sense, it's a robot mode chest and it looks like it- what's wrong with it?)- is there anything about it that people don't dislike?

Do you have someone in the background to transform Airburst, Sly Strike and Heavy Noisy while you doing the review ? because at the beginning of the movie, those bots were in the vehicle mode, but at the end, its already in robot mode without you touching it.. or do you have 2 robots ?

He does cuts to have time to transform them. He usually hides them really well.

I think your reviews are awesome but you should consider on your combiner reviews to transform it straight to robot mode, review the robot mode, transformer it to vehicle mode, then you turn it into combined mode. Still your videos are awesome

There's the FoC Bruticus that got the 3rd party Voyager(?) Onslaught to look more like the game version, and then I believe Fansproject put out an after market Vortex and Blast Off set for the Cybertron anime Bruticus. Good luck on that set though because IIRC both the base set and the fansproject add-ons are out of production, so yoy'd probably be getting them second hand.
