Well. That applies mainly to the Blackrock Clan. Iircthe warsong and doomhammer clans ditched the demons and went back to their roots in shamanism

They went all out trying to make the orcs in this mission really similar to how the faction was in Warcraft 2, yet they didn't bother to replace the Headhunters with Forest Trolls.

What's weird is that they actually do have Forest Trolls during flashbacks seen in interlude cut-scenes. So Blizzard DID know. They just weren't consistent with it for some reason.

I am not sure if Trolls should even be in their troop roster. Didn't they actually leave the Horde after Second War? They are their own faction so I would expect to have Orc Spearthrowers from Warcraft 1, but they probably didn't bother to edit a Grunt model and give him a spear.

It hurts looking at Frost Wyrms with their icy breath upgrade NOT targeting and freezing towers that just keep shooting at them. OK, you crush them with superior numbers anyway, but why be so wasteful! Sorry for the necropost. Just finished the RoC campaigns on hard, always dreading to go into even low upkeep, spending hours on a mission, microing everything to death as much as I could... And now I see this style of playing, and it's obviously super effective, but so alien to me! Thanks for this whole playlist, by the way.

1. Strategic purposes. The Blackrock orcs are of no use to the Legion considering that the Arthas and the Scourge are already doing the job of destroying the Eastern Kingdoms (Lordaeron, Quel'Thalas, and Dalaran). Whereas if they corrupt the orcs in Kalimdor, they could pose a serious threat to the World Tree and Cenarius (which Grom did kill). 2. Numbers. Sure the Blackrocks were the strongest Orcish clan in the First and Second War but by the Third War, the Frostwolves and the Warsong came out of the top as part of Thrall's New Horde (I will break the tie in favor of the Frostwolf Clan, why? Because they never resorted to Fel magic nor drink demon blood). And who succeeded the shamanistic Thrall? Of course the Warsong Garrosh then a Darkspear Troll Vol'jin then a Forsaken Sylvanas. By the Third War, the Blackrocks were already dead. No organization, no unity, and its ranks mostly decimated. Even Arthas' human forces of footmen and dwarven riflemen managed to defeat them (its only after the events in Hearthglen that Terenas or Uther realized that Arthas needed knights that's why he was given cavalry in Stratholme). No wonder after the Orcish Horde's defeat in the Second War, the Blackrock Clan were never able to reclaim the position of warchief (though Thrall was Orgrim Doomhammer's deputy to begin with).

nice playthrough, personally I always possessed the ogre magi and warlocks and then used unholy frenzy + bloodlust on my frost wyrms. Machine gun dragons!

It's funny to hear you talking about how chaos damage isn't super powerful. Like, that's true. It's exactly like hero damage except against fortified and divine armor (and divine armor is just a scenario tool for "this unit is neigh-unkillable without the specific plot thing"). But you always seem so impressed by units doing chaos damage, even when they're high-level creeps that are never going to get anywhere near your buildings. XD

What do you have against unholy frenzy? You know they're really effective on your heroes and frost wyrms right. Arthas' aura compensates for lost hp. Sorry I don't wanna complain but it's so cool to see undead kick ass when they're properly buffed

Considering that gameplay has day-night cycle that goes fast, it's kinda funny to see chapter descriptions talking about how "moments" passed from one chapter to another. Also characters talking about time.

One continuity issue I have with Warcraft lore is that in World Of Warcraft it was revealed that the Blackrock Clan is still around which I have to question since the Blackrock Clan was effectively a remnant group so they couldn't have been a very big group after the Scourge destroyed their bases in this level and if there were any surviving members of the Blackrock Clan why didn't Mannoroth try to bring them into the Burning Legion instead of going to Kalimdor to get Orc's that went rogue and also after Kel'thuzad summoned Archimonde that should have been a very clear sign to the survivors of the Blackrock Clan that the Burning Legion no longer cares about them and therefore the Blackrock Clan shouldn't have had any further reason for existing because the demons they worshipped had ordered a new army to destroy one of their bases and the other army summoned the leader of the demons they worship so the Blackrock Clan shouldn't really have any further reason to exist

Kel'Thuzad leaves his items on the ground in the last mission anyway, similarly to how Jaina does in Hearthglen and Muradin's stuff is left after his death in Frostmourne

Chaos damage shines against divine armor, in costum games it's a real game changer.

Yeah. Chaos just works vs. All Armor types. For Custom Game, only Dreadlord and Demon Hunter are Non-Neutral Heroes with Chaos Damage sources Infernal and Demon Form respectively. Other Chaos Damage sources are High Level Summoning Items like Demonic Figurine, Inferno Stone, Ice Shard, Amulet of the Wild.

In this mission I dealt with light blue first, because of the sappers that they send then I dealt with brown. Blue never attacks so that is useful to just take really anytime but I honestly feel prioritize light blue first

Warsong clan was already in Ashenvale and they were fighting night elves. Plus their corruption made a serious blow to the Horde.

Because Tichondrius told him the orcs are already in Kalimdor. He didn't know it was the Legion's new servants that killed the orcs in lordaeron.

Transport these Lordaeron orcs to Ashenvale. VS Corrupt and use the orcs that are already in Kalimdor You choose.
