I believe the misleading tooltips is because of a bug in Reforged where the second requirement is ignored. This game worked very well on original Warcraft.

In the beginning around 10 minutes the key is to prepare cheap lvl 1 towers for upgrade and sell the upgraded towers for interest .. that way you always have gold ..

I'll always be amazed by how well wtii's doing in these games even though he doesn't understand half of the mechanics (doesn't realize gold towers are earth attack, doesn't realize all elemental tower can be ubgraded to a tower that requires this element, doesn't know how gold towers works, that elem towers don't sell for 100% in pick mode etc.) but still doing quite well with just a bit of help on strat, some knowledge about the income mechanic, and a lot of micro manadgement! This version is broken btw (wrong tool tips + towers only requiring fire lvl 2-3 to get upgraded, elec lvl 2-3 and gold 2) but that was still quite enjoyable! Thx for the video as always dear Wtii ~
