Abelhawk in level 5 with mattutino there are some furbolg that you can reclute if you use the treant magic near to them, they'll use a magic ring and they will be teleported in front of the magic bridge

That hydralisk easter egg is the kind of secrets I want in this and any game. It's out of character and adds more gameplay and a twist to the whole level and it's a fun thing to mess around with for fun when you're not serious. I want these instead of just bonus armor or health pickups. Like the classic Dopefish easter egg, that one was even in the 20th anniversary bonus campaign of Quake. These are always fun and breaks from the usual flow in a fun way

Dude! Night Elf Campaign: Brothers in Blood... Furion's side... After killing the sludge monster for the wand of negation... go into it (the space where the sludge was)... on an other aisle north of it, are some mushroom trees on the edge of the water.. Furion can convert them into treants.. Make the treants walk northwards to find 3 rescuable furbolgs.. 2 fubolg shamans and 1 furbold ursa... :D :D

+Justine DC Upon rescuing those furbolgs just beside them is a waygate... walk upon it and automatically transports the furbolgs into the center spot right before the circle of power in which Furion would demand a spectral bridge to cross on... You would also find a neutral hostile side druid of the claw in a cliff in the most northeastern area of the map... cant be reached though.. :D

Hey Abelhawk, if you still read these, I had a go at doing the waterfall visibility trigger in my own maps and it's really added a lot of visual flair to them and makes them much more fun to play. Warcraft 3 was always a beautiful game and I'm really glad you pointed out a way to emphasise that. Thanks for including that bit in the video! Love your whole series btw, Warcraft 3 is my favorite game of all time and your vids have been a gret companion to revisiting it

Hey Abel! Here is one more... Am not sure if this is considered as an Easter Egg though, it is more like a hidden easy path thing for me... Anyway... Here it is.. Night Elf Campaign.. Mission 2... After getting the 3 ballistae and hydralisk for Tyrande's army, you finally reached the outskirts of the undead base... Before you attack the base, there is a FOUNTAIN OF HEALTH to the right of your current position there (most northeastern area of that map)... Within the fountain is the last group of rescuable night elven warriors... 4 archers and another additional 3 ballistae... Now, on that spot where the fountain of health lies a long path on cliff that is covered with trees which directly leads to Shandris' base... Use all of your ballistae to destroy all those trees and reach Shandris' base WITHOUT the need of destroying the undead base!! :D PS: Of course, on my part, I prefer to perform fierce war battles in all of my Warcraft gameplays. I do love to destroy bases and defeat enemy armies, especially the evil undead forces... but the thing is... Its just something I discovered out many years ago... I just thought I had to share it... :D :D

So I'm sure you've picked apart Brothers in Blood like a vulture at a carcass, but when you free the prisoners and get new Night Elf troops, in the top left cell, in contrast to all the huntresses and archers you rescue, there is a wolf named Loki. While intriguing and mysterious, is that a lore reference or a shout out to anything? I know that Loki in mythology has a son who is a wolf, and a 'world tree' is central to Norse mythology. But that's the only rhyme or reason I can think of. That level is just stunning, the sheer amount of details and worldbuilding in it never ceases to amaze. Before you find the cache of the watchers weapons, as I'm sure you've seen, the three sleeping watchers on the tables wake up if you attack any of the crates near them!

Hey ABELHAWK. I got a new one for you. It is not an easter egg though. A DESTINY OF FLAME AND SORROW. Illidan's mission. It is possible to destroy the 2 demon gates beside Tichondrius EASILY with just ballistas and nothing more. At the right side and angle and view, one ballista can continously attack the right demon gate WITHOUT alerting the infernal and hellhound. You can destroy it easily. The left demon gate can be destroyed by 3 ballistas as well but the only the 2 hellhound will attack. Most likely you will lose 2 or 3 of the ballistas on the left demon gate but youd still be able to destroy the gate easily and lose less troops. Just attack the gate itself, NOT the infernals and hellhounds so Tichondrius and his doom guards will not come to attack. Personally, i like doing this BEFORE illidan gets the skull of guldan. Have illidan and and his army destroy the demon gate guarding the skull BUT dont let illidan get to it yet.

3:15 With regards to the idea of the thunder lizards being rescuable, it would be super cool if you could put a saddle on the Ancient Storm Wyrm (if you look carefully at the spikes on its back, they come in two sets of four with a gap between the two sets so if it allowed you to do so, removing the rearmost spike in the first set of four which in addition to the already existing gap would create enough room for a saddle to be placed on its back), hop on and ride it around like a cavalryman. Hell, a force of Ancient Storm Wyrm cavalry would be quite the sight to see!

The campaigns have unused difficulty setting - Easy in every map. But there is no way to select easy from campaign screen. I guess it was removed because game was easy as it was on Normal.

5:58 - Ok so I have an interesting question, but it may never be answered. As you probably remember those guys in library were some kind of mages in with human models, and they are part of the Watchers and are hostile to us. If we check for Mystics on wowpedia we can learn that they are very similar to Highborne, and lorekeepers from Shen'dralar, and Talrendis point. The Shen'dralar (meaning "Those Who Remain Hidden"). And now question - if they were Highbornes, and knowing the fact how much Maiev and her watchers hate Highbornes, are they probably prisoners too? If so, why they were still hostile to us? Probably only Warcraft 3 campaigns developers can answer this - to be logic with lore and with gameplay.

Yeah, I love those "little things" from Warcraft3, so much notalgic. Hey, do you know "DesignerDave" channel on yt? I read once lore behind "Little Timmy, and actually I learned about his, and his brother's names and his origins: "Little Timmy is named after level designer Tim Campbell, who designed the missions he appears in. His mother Alicia is named after the wife of Campbell and his siblings are named after the children of friends of Campbell." Look for his channel, he have videos from all campaigns and missions and he talked about many interesting things from designer's point. He was one of them :) I would to watch all his videos from campaigns, if only I can have more time to spend for myself, not for University :)

In th Reforged version, the first Panda easter egg is done in an even better way. :) Also, Sandris is now really Sandris. She has 450 HP and more damage than an Archer. The model does not change, but in the tiggers, the remove Sandris model comment, is still there.

These were amazing. I also used to search for easter eggs in the game back when I played the campaign. Here are a few you missed: There are some murlocs on the top right of the map in Human chapter 2. I don't remember them dropping anything but they're there. You forgot (?) to tell the story of Timmy the ghoul. He apparently reappears in WoW as Timmy the Cruel (wowwiki: "Timmy"). On the second chapter of the undead campaign there is a sheep named Tichondrius that you missed (bottom of the map, behind the trees). In the world editor, there is a small button on the bottom right corner. Spam-clicking it results in some special sounds from units. In battle net, enter the chat and press Alt+Ctrl+F1. A poem by Edgar Allan Poe will pop up. Some quotes are references to Monthy Python and The Holy Grail, The Simpsons, Starcraft and a lot more.. Piss off the demon hunter by clicking him a lot and you'll hear a reversed quote. Reverse the sound file in a sound editor to find out he says "I love green trees". Great job you did here. Waiting for TFT. Post these to reddit /r/wow, I'm sure other people will like it too.

Yes, I definitely did miss the murlocs, and they're on my list. I thought Timmy was the same Timmy that sells Arthas frost shards in TFT, but apparently they're two different Timmys. So I'll make sure to cover that in the TFT Undead campaign. Thanks for the tip about Tichondrius's sheep though! I missed that one. I don't really cover all of the voice Easter eggs though, just the lesser known ones on the map.

+Abelhawk Timmy got used a few times because multiple designers end up making the same references in different areas. Tim Campbell was the level designer who put the original Timmy into Warcraft III (he's part of a quest if I remember correctly), and another level designer, Dean Shipley put the undead ghoul Timmy in the later level. The WoW quest designers were not the same designers from War 3, so it's not surprising that things got mixed up, and thus you have Schrodinger's Timmy, who is simultaneously alive and undead. ;)

You missed 2 that i know of. The first one is in prologue chapter one right above medivh is a little island where u can find an item but unfortunately u cant take it. And the second one is in night elf campaign chapter two, when u reach undead base go to the fountain of health and use balistas to destroy trees south of fountain and u will have safe passage to the base without having to fight the undead at all

you missed a secret in the daughters of the moon mission.At the fountain of life above the undead base if you destroy the trees at the right side of the screen you will find a small path that leads straight to the night elf base with the only obstacle the trees you encounter at the end of the path , but since we are given balistas I don't think it's a problem.So in that mission you have a way to avoide the undead base and reach your allies safely

In the second mission just before gate that will open automaticly because Tyrande know password there is a group of human footmans that will attack doom guard. If we help them win the battle, demon will drop book +1 strength

Good question. I checked the file, and apparently Illidan's experience is slowed to 20% during the entire mission. If that wasn't bad enough, once he gets to level 9, he gains only _1%_ from kills. So _maybe_ it's possible, but really unlikely. You'd probably run out of resources or something first.

BTW Abelhawk i looked at the first map of this campaign and for some reason Shandris placed there is changed to normal archer in cutscene, is there trigger that changes that on purpose? Why they put it there?

I always thought Shandris was a confusing character the way she starts out as an archer and then gets her own special, night-elf-Sylvanas model. I guessed that she "leveled up" or was promoted later on. But you're absolutely right-she's her new model in the map file and then a trigger replaces her with an archer. This is really odd. I'll definitely mention this in the final video!

Abelhawk Ah and About full Prologue(demo/tft additional campaign(in custom campaign)) I dont know if it applies to English version of the game but TFT campaign has no voice lines at while demo has all. Another thing is that when i tried to open map's from demo with both RoC WE and TFT WE it was a bit corrupted(items from quests were black squares and were clickable, some minor errors occured). If you can ask some developer you are in contact with, what was decision behind scrapping dark spear segment in final release of RoC?

Yeah, the demo's incompatible with the current version of WC3. There is a version with the voices available at www.hiveworkshop.com/threads/exodus-of-the-horde-voiceover.264147 though.

If Jaina is wiped out, but Tyrande or Malfurion have the scroll of resurrection and use it to bring a worker back to life is that worker back under Jaina's control or Night Elf? If Night Elf, can you use it to build human structures and units?

A Scroll of Resurrection will only resurrect your own units who have died, so that wouldn't work.

The targeting says friend though. It also says they go back under your allies control, but if the gold mine is haunted already would they find a new gold mine? Could you potentially relocate humans or orcs if somehow getting a worker out alive, and if the enemy begins haunting the mine while corpses are still present. classic.battle.net/war3/basics/heroitemsconsumed.shtml

True. If it worked though it'd be interesting to see how the AI on all sides behaved. Would the relocated allies build defense, get ignored by Archimonde, go offense, muscle in on Thrall's mine, etc.

7:20 Archimonde looks so small here. In the 1.30 patch they make him 3 times bigger than this XD

Yeah, I always wondered why Night Elves were the only ones in the RoC campaign who didn't have access to their strongest unit like the rest of the races did. Hell, you even get to fight against Chimeras once in the Orc campaign.

Maybe the Night Elves and Pandarens have more conection with each other that we thought. Think of Illidan's blade or 1:16. Maybe the pandarens lived in Kalimdor from the beginning?

Technically you're right, since apparently Kalimdor was the original supercontinent (think Pangaea) of Azeroth, which split into the various other continents after the Sundering. But I wouldn't look too deeply into it in Warcraft 3 instances; as I said, back then the pandaren were just used as a running gag. I don't think any of Blizzard's writers thought too much about fleshing out the story of Pandaria till Mists of Pandaria came out.

I agree with you. :D Pandarens were just creeps, and only in the TFT they made a Pandaren Brewmaster. What is WOw Mists of Pandaria about? What is the secret of the pandas? 2 things I had noticed: In the 3rd level, Tarifas is a custom unit and he has 1650 HP. And in the interlude, Tarifas is also in the map, next to the snowy mountains. I miss Tarifas, he should have more role in the map
