Another way that goreholw could have ended up in kara is when we kill garrosh in WOD the weapon is left in the field we kill him on, at some point after this the prince turns up on draenor and picks up the axe before heading off to do other things, then later ends up in kara 30 years later and 9 years before garrosh takes the axe to draenor.

In the War of the Ancients, you mean? The Legion fought night elves back then. Besides, all Highborne are night elves. Highborne is a social caste, night elf is the species.
