I spent about 45 dollars and destroyed the game up to about half way slightly past heroics. And I felt it was easy. I restarted on a F2P and using the knowledge I have the game has been more enjoyable taking my time and just leveling all my units at a slower pace. Also the challenge really forces me to learn new strategies.

They changed the process, you now need 50 upgrades to level your account instead of 5, but you get 1 for leveling every mini, and 5, 10 or more for upgrading rarity. It makes sense to unlock all the minis first, then use the 'unlocks' to get stars, and then use gold to buy green or blue minis from the store. Only buy Stars on minis you need talents for

I think you could make more in-depth guide for all talents, maybe, series of videos. I agree for most Minis I own talents for, or seen in action. Other KZbinrs recommend bad talents for some reason. But some minis I don’t have any talents, I don’t understand the reasoning. For example - Sneed lvl for passive gold - is that good? How it works, it gains levels while in hand or should be played, does it save levels after death, how much levels it gains for 2 gold and so on- game doesn’t explain shit about these abilities.

For smoke bomb - either +levels for cycle minis or movemenet speed. Fro Bandits- Gold chest bonus

Maiev might be the best leader for PvP, she is def better than Tirion, I agree

In PvE maybe she isn't so good, and most people rate her low because at low collection she's basically unplayable

From my time during soft launch, Tirion is a PvE champions. You can play him well in PvP but most of the time he is used as a tank support with Divine shield just to get some more attacks in, to kill tower. I used Tirion mostly for fun. Maiev is good, but unfortunately she is view by other players as cheap. As she can cost as low as 1 gold as you keep using unbound minis. I like her though, but then again, I am like a Pokemon trainer, I like them all and train them all. If you want to focus on clearing PvE content such has heroics and Onyxia, you best evenly level you entire squad. It will result in a better leveling experience overtime as you increase your Player Level. My minis are mostly rare, now, with 3 uncommon, and 7 epics. Having level 26 minis now, and I still struggle with Onyxia. Mostly because I don’t want to beat her with a level boost champion gimmick.

Nah, I just googled every mini after leveling it up to uncommon, and took the recommended talent by most of the guides. That was kinda obvious thing to do. Another thing - I postponed playing heroic campaign as much as possible to get the most out of experience books it gives. By the way, Sneed or Mayev are never considered as S tier heroes in any guides? I prefer to focus leveling up Tirion and Cairne (just because I like him), neither are goblin sappers. So I think its something about personal preference

I play Rend and I love it except for the fact that he gets dismounted by minions that cost less than him before he can even reach them. Like Darkspear Troll, Huntress, ETC.

Not sure if you still play Rend, but here is a few ideas: 1. Use polymorph or the blackrocks spell that turns your units invisible (it costs 1 gold! Super useful to close the gap to allow him to kill or attack the enemies in close range). 2. Use a cheap melee escort like Ghoul, Gnoll w/ cycle upgrade to cost 2 gold, Bandits 1 gold (can stun and easily take out that ranged unit). 3. Make use of cheap deployable units! My favorite is the Quilboar! 2 gold and he can tank long enough for your Rend to kill. Skeletons can work too, but huntress will own them. Lastly if you hate huntress like I do don't worry too much. Bandits should take care of her or worgen.

I have already screwed up by trying to have fun. Bought some characters that looked fun, genuinely tried to have fun and explore the game (shame on me). Now the game isn't fun I am stuck consistently and there is no way to reset or make a 2nd account unless you use an entirely different blizzard account. Unfortunate game isn't fun for me at all anymore because of this.

Unfortunately, they changed it for retail. It takes 50 activities to raise your level now. You also don't get all three talents in the store, you just get one per possible refresh. What I want to know is how you got so much money! Your tier list is a little out dated. Apparently Maive got a big nurf so, good, but a lot of data is old.

The information in this video is already outdated. Your account level (aka collection level) is now based on your minis level (gained from playing the game) + any rarities earned which is a way better approach

Great guide! The biggest issue about f2p this game is most of talents which are best for pve are trash for pvp. Like poison for harpies is pve boss killer, but in pvp you want to take gold talent. So you cant play for both modes without investing money or huge amount of time

Gold talent is exactly what you DONT want to take!!! It makes Harpies cost 4 gold which is unacceptable for me even with Rend. But everyone has fetish :D.
