You know I'm kind of surprised this didn't happen for real. Instead of running, kael joins forces with lady vashj and together they creatively come up with a way to ambush that stupid captain and then take their sweet time coming to illidain or better yet they just invite him to their new city

First of all, for you it's LORD MARSHAL Secondly, Kael tell's it right there that human forces are way to great for the elves to handle. Besides there are still great amount of undead attempting to retake Dalaran that would enter city after blood elves vs human battle to collect the pieces

@@mr.v6052 amount of units is questionable in relation to troops in general, it's more likely that majority of nagas remained with Ilidan, not to forget about dreanai, which are great force on it's own on outland landscape, Besides campaning of conquest on enemy who don't expect any invasion, nor care to react being convinced of own strength is easier than one huge battle with army of veterans fighting for very survival
