I would think that doing this on the first corner of the match would be a good tactic, as it will make the goalie avoid leaving their goal line for corners for the rest of the match.

@@SandymoorFerrariClub Along that line, back in the old days many teams would aim the first CK directly at the GK's area, then a big CB or CF would go up for it and deliberately flatten the GK. The idea was that the GK would be less willing to challenge for the ball on subsequently CK's during the game.

this is just smart, he is a set piece specialist and it shows by how consistently he can trouble the keeper. Also, keep in mind how low of a success rate corners usually are (only about 13-15% are ever scored)

It would probably be a good strategy in women’s game as they are not as athletic and may not reach the ball, we have already seen a lot of goals from corners in women’s game, then again of course the kicks would be weaker too but you lose some, you win some… Much easier in women’s game to score up in the corner
