Definition of road in NY is ANY PORTION OF MAINTAINED SURFACE, that includes seasonal highways.... firebrakes are common place where road hunters shoot figuring that no body will know

What a joke. Truly the western version of a CSI wannabe. How in the heck can the warden determine not only who's foot prints those were, let alone that the footprints were the one's when the shot was taken? And the Sargent saying its like a competition out there at that spot. That the guy wouldn't wait for legal time. All assumptions no facts. What an absolute joke that one hunters word carries more weight than another hunters word.

I live in Iowa and the “game wardens” actually here is DNR officer, are so checked out they never check tags, licenses, limits if you do see them they sit in the truck and maybe wave, I wish we had wardens like this show that are involved and try to make sure everyone is legit, it’s nice to see that they care and try the best they can

A hunter from the city shoots a duck, and the duck lands in a farmers' yard. Hunter asks the farmer if he can retrieve the duck. Farmer says, "My property, my duck." Farmer suggests a nut kick exchange. Whoever is still standing after the exchange gets the duck. Farmer goes first. WHOMP! Hunter goes down in agony. I had a situation happen with a gerber folding knife found in an area a hunter said he had never been. I was interviewing him at hunt control where he brought his deer for the biologist to pull its jaw. Earlier that morning i answered a trespass call but could not make contact. I flagged the area at hunt control and had them call me when the registered hunters came in. Every time one did i walked behind them and bent down to feign picking up that knife. Only took a couple tries before the owner claimed it thinking he had just dropped it at the office instead of out in the field.

legal shooting hours are 1/2 hour before sunrise. If sunrise was 630, anything after 6am would be legal.

“Legal shooting light” is completely relative to each person I can see in the dark great and my wife is legally blind at dusk. So he was basically saying that he was completely innocent in the fact that the light was more than enough for him to shoot in. Technically not wrong with wording of some states hunting laws.

As far as I know "legal shooting light" refers to 30 minutes before official sunrise and 30 minutes after official sunset. The amount of minutes may vary by state but it works the same. Just just your phone for the official sunset and sunrise times and go from there

I agree. I had a situation where 2 wardens boarded my boat and when everything was legal they started doing things like looking for tiny holes in the life jackets. I ended up getting tired of the shenanigans and said look I ate a gas station burrito this morning and I'm about to fart all over this boat now get your little notepads and leave or you're going to regret it. They backed off and watched me hang my fanny over the side of the boat and wrote me a ticket for endangering wildlife. They will always find a way 💰
