I'm sorry for some inaccurate in territories, I will continue to train my overlay and editing skills... In this animation, in addition to showing the internal conflicts of the empire, also included some conflicts of other countries, so I spent a long time editing... Thank you for watching!! ------------------------------------- 很抱歉有些領土上的不精確,我會繼續訓練我的疊圖與編輯能力... 這部動畫將會顯示出帝國內部與外部國家的衝突,因此我花了大量的時間進行編輯

The Habsburgs are over, now the Nations have to make their own states. the so called "Austria-Hungary" was the possession of the Habsburgs, with Franz Joseph as emperor of Austria and king of Hungary, king of Bohemia, king of Croatia, Dalmatia, Lodomeria, Galicia and so on. eg. Ioan Boeriu fieldmarshal for the Habsburgs, with his Romanian troops pacified Vienna and Prague in the bolshevik coup.

I'm impressed with the amount of research that went into this video, and I learned about quite a few new breakaway states that I've never even heard of before. My only real complaints are that the borders are wonky and the rivers could use some work (My recommendation is to replace the borders with the rivers rather than showing both side by side). Keep it up and you'll become better than Tigerstar.

Many nations live here. It's strange, but they never rebelled more seriously against the Hungarians, only if they received external help. (f.e.: 1849.) (and now comes the biggest jerk, I admit) Why are you pretending, if you could never create a normal nation-state without outside help? Quite enlightening. In Hungary the Treaty of Trianon is spoken about with a lot of resentment by the vocal minority that still cares. We usually just see the Austria-Hungary borders, Great Hungary borders, then the current small Hungary borders, and cry injustice because we were 'dragged into' WW1. Seceding from the Austria-Hungary Empire is all but unmentioned and the conflicts afterwards are not taught much at all. Only that the Treaty of Versailles was followed by Trianon. But it seems it has actually given back Hungary a lot more territory than we were able to hold at the time.

@@Vitrousis "a lot more territory than we were able to hold at the time". Hungary was losing especially against Romania at that point, and the Treaty of Trianon restored some territory that we've lost. @Vitrousis
@Vitrousis 2 жыл бұрын
@@lakdav They did not restore any territory except some in Western Hungary (look up Sopron plebiscite) If you're referring to returning occupied territories that were either never claimed by any neighboring country/was under the occupation of a neighboring country during the wars following the dissolution of Austria-Hungary, that does not count as rewarding/giving back territory. That's like saying after the allied occupation of Germany ended, they rewarded the entirity of Germany back to Germany since they were not able to hold it, lol. I'm not going against you or anything I'm just trying to clear up a common misconception/misuse of words when you refer to leaving occupied territories as rewards. Romania never would've wanted to annex Budapest or any over the Danube river, maximum extent was maybe till the Tisa, but even those claims were neglected. So yeah, tldr is it's calling leaving the occupation zone instead of giving back territory, as they have never laid any claims or did any neighboring country claimed that for example Győr should've stayed under Romanian hands
@lakdav
@lakdav 2 жыл бұрын
@@Vitrousis I don't know anything about claims and such in this instance, like my original comment said, all this is pretty new to me. What I do see on this map is that it looked like a giant free-for-all battle royale between upstart opportunistic countries that popped up as the Empire broke apart to its vague demographic parts. Who's to say that none of the warring new countries would have eventually laid their claims on territories they held, had the Entente not forced those treaties before there was a 'winner' ( a winner who would have had the same demographic problems as the dissolved Empire)

I cried on this video. I am from Hungary. I find emotional both the betrayal of politicians from inside, the betray from the West, the unfair fight of Romanians not keeping agreements, and on the other side the fight that Hungarians could hold for two years all alone starting with a disbanded army, and going through a socialist revolution from inside where the previous prime minister and president was assassinated. The 1000 years old borders got destroyed by about 5 sides, fighting all alone. I highly respect all those Hungarians who gave their lives and fought very well at all times throughout history. Hungarians can still feel the consequences of Trianon every day. You can feel it by looking at old building, seeing all those medieval fortresses, or when you look at a geographical map of Europe and see the 1000 years-old borders "ingraved" in the Carpathians. I hope things will be the best they can ever be.

The same for West Ukraine She was heroically fighting the outnumbering Polish horde supported by France in order "to fight Bolsheviks" but the weapons given were used against other enemy, which wasn't a threat. If the monarchy stayed, the world would be a better place
