Legend has it Tony Scott (True Romance) had hired QT to doctor the script of Crimson Tide, and Denzel had ripped QT a new asshole on set because of his use of the n-word in movies. Denzel was firmly in Spike Lee's camp back then. Which would explain QT's unusual lack of enthusiasm when he was brought into the equation here.

@mrmillion94 UHaul and Hertz are two different "rental companies". (moving trucks, self-storage units etc...). So he's sayong you can't take it with you, it's like saying you can't store a "storage". But the thing between Denzel & Quentin exchanging words is not really public. Only Scott mentioned it once and some actors on the set off Crimson Tide acknowledged. Quentin was there to talk to Tony about True Romance, a script he sold to Tony Scott.

@JamesOrwell Actually DW was originally cast for the part of Jules Winfield in Pulp Fiction (arguably QT's masterpiece) but DW refused on account of his extensive use of the word "Nigga" in the script. DW insisted that QT take that word out, QT refused, Samuel L Jackson was cast and the rest is history. Apparently SLJ had qualms about using the word "Nigga" - in fact I think he's built a career on it!

Denzel lambasted Tarantino about his use of racial slurs in his films. Tarantino got embarrassed and wanted to move the conversation to a more private area. Denzel said, "No, if were going to discuss it, let's discuss it now." Denzel later said he still felt that Quentin was "a fine artist"
