Hi! I manage a private Airpark in Arizona. We have been ha in issues with drones flying very near our runway. We need a way to track them. It would be awesome if there’s an API that could integrate this with our pilot controlled WX system (ASOS) so pilots can be alerted to drones in vicinity. This looks amazing. How can I contact you?

I am using Kraken SDR device to determine the direction of the drone, then rotate the PTZ camera to focus on this direction. It is useful for me to use the AI ​​model to detect the drone. But Kraken bandwidth is only 2.4 MHz and operates at 2.4 GHz -5.6 GHz frequency ^^!

Nice video! I am trying to do basically the same thing, I tried adding a UDP port to my config files in the root of the tak directory so that i could send information from another client. I went down this rabbit hole since I got connection refused or the need for server name when trying to connect and sending to the standard ports. I was wondering what you changed to send data directly to your input port 8089. Or do I need to change anything else with the TAK setup? I followed the three videos in this series, specifically video nr 1 and 3 since I am trying to send GPS coordinates to the TAK server. Thanks for any advice.

Depends on how you’ve installed the tak server, did you do the docker install? You may need to add the ports to the docker yml file and rebuild. If you shoot me an email or jump over on source forge for the DragonOS project it may be easier for me to reply. KZbin makes it hard to help via the comments.

Dji Mini 2 with Holy Stone Remote ID attached. I also had a second RID transmitter from Roku. Some of the DJI models (older ones?) are getting Remote ID, but the WiFi type and not BT. But I think both WiFi/BT being transmitted at the same time is starting to be seen more.

@ericks1979 the technique/hardware dongle I’m using is specific to Bluetooth - however, besides the medium the protocol is the same. I’ll start working on a the WiFi piece asap.

Oh yeah I know, was just wondering how it broadcasts I mean. Like did you know if it shows up as a hotspot or what?

@ericks1979 oh I see what you mean, na it would be transmissions/packets that’d you’d have to decode. You wouldn’t see it as a hotspot I mean. You can use a few apps right on your phone to detect and decode it for testing, but that’s within the app and it doing its thing.

Im based in U.K and police monitoring my DJI RC2 remote location even when the remote controller is not turned on ? I have video evidence. I don't travel mobile phones .

Most likely the dji is emitting drone ID itself - different then remote ID. Both contain location of drone though regardless if controller is on.
