BTW the background on the squad cards is blank because the people on the cards are real soldiers and they had to blank out the background because each person's picture was very different. This is the trade off for using actual soldier's pictures.

I picked up Modern by mistake. By mistake I mean I wasn't looking for it. My local game store carried very little in war games. This game I never heard about so I was surprised and intrigued. Modern came out before WWII so the reason the cards are improved maybe they made corrections to improve the cards. I have not picked up the WWII because I have up front WWII game that scratches that itch. What I liked about modern there is very few games that covered it at the time I picked it up

I recently got into the Modern set. I like it almost as much as the WWII one. I hope you enjoy it!

Thank you so much! Hmm, now I have to remember 😆. I think I ordered Warfighter Pacific from Miniature Market back then. And I think I ordered Modern straight from the publisher.
