In so confused. I have rank 5 with the hex and it has me listed as best friends instead of loved with my chosen partner (I have the optional breakup text anytime I speak to them.) So no backroom as a result I guess? The only thing I did differently was ask them out through text, as opposed to their standing spot in the mall.

I believe he moves in after you've had enough chats with him. But careful, reaching max rank and chemistry will lock the chat for you! I was able to ask him for a date at Rank 4 at Close status. Now I'm Rank 5 and best friends with all the Hex, and can't chat with them anymore. I'm very sad about it. Don't do the mistakes I did by rushing!
