Know whats funny- I didn't even know next update was tomorrow lmao. Anyway man, poor Dante. His vid had to go through a re-write after he was nerfed, I had a potential sponsor ghost me for about 2 weeks, then some uh, life stuff came up which just halted the project more. King doesn't deserve the late treatment. Lotta stuff happened with this frame. Went from overpowered, to broken (in the bad way) because of doo-doo LoS changes, then eventually settled into probably still giga-strong territory at the end of it all. Buuut I'm sure you all know that at this point. Jade is tomorrow and she's actually a frame I'm quite interested in because it's the first frame in a long while that seems to be primarily focused on support. I'm sure her damage output is gonna be solid as well, but that feels more like sprinkles on top of a sundae. Pretty excited for her! Shame Elden Ring DLC is out 3 days later but, s'all good. Hope y'all have a good one, and as usual, massive appreciate for everyone of y'all - yer good people!

JSYK, while its good for Op defense, the best use for the birbs is solely because they make ALL status effects do more damage. And his 4 Nuke can cash out toxin and heat as well. So if you have a Citrine on your team... teehee.

Don't sleep on Pageflight. It now also increases status damage on enemies and scales with strength. This pairs very well with Dark Verse and Tragedy to easily reach damage cap.

PSA: A Dante spectre uses ALL of his abilities, except Noctua, which isn't a big loss. There's basically no reason not to pop one in every mission cause free overguard for the entire team leaving you free to use whatever frame you prefer.

@@chaosgyro Ivara has some niche uses, but for general use I think she has some struggles. First and foremost, we need more content that rewards stealth. I think most existing mission types could have mechanics added to them that rewards players for stealth, without punishing those who don't use stealth. I think most non-endless missions could use hefty reworks, which could make frames like Ivara, Ash, Banshee, weapons like snipers, and various companion effects much more useful. What if in missions there were new sections of rooms added where NPCs were doing their normal daily tasks.. and if you don't alert the enemies, they will still be there and vulnerable for you to take their resources and maybe even apply buffs to yourself at the same time. This could be worked into most content, plus it adds to world building and immersion. Secondly.. as for Ivara herself. She needs an addition to her passive, now that everyone has innate radar, when radar was already available from pets. I think Quiver needs a change. I think Dashwire and Sleep arrows are amazing. Cloak is redundant outside of clunky team play. Noise arrow does literally nothing. If Noise worked even on alerted enemies AND put a damage vulnerability on them, it might be nice.. but even that is a bit of a tall ask due to the mechanics of the ability. I think Ivara enjoyers would make it work, though.. especially in solo play. I wouldn't say to outright remove Cloak, but.. I think every rotating wheel ability needs to be customizable within the Ability page of the given Warframe. You should be able to take out options you don't care for. As for Prowl. I'm fine with the reduced speed and limited parkour. It forces Ivara to play like Ivara. People who want to play Ivara will be unaffected. People who want to play something else will play something else. As for the steal.. I think it would be nice if it had some sort of like steal combo count to grant bonus loot with a guaranteed ammo drop, as a reward for taking the time to consciously use the effect. Incentivizes keeping the pace methodical while not being something you NEED to be doing, so that in coop when other players blast whatever you're stealing from it won't feel bad. Thirdly.. weapons. We need more cool silent weapons in this game. Especially more silent SMGs or modular weapons like the Fulmin. I'm hoping Jade's new bow will be more like the bows of old than the Nataruk, Cinta, or the Incarnon bows. As cool as they are, they aren't always silent. Her bow will probably be like those, though. I think all the typical thrown secondary weapons could use a massive overhaul, from base damage, crit, status, and even more values like headshot bonuses. Weapons like those are not as satisfying as they were on release, and it's a huge shame.

I just wished we got more hunter/survivalist/primitive/outdoorsman frames since the ones we currently have are pretty meh thematically. Ivara is Robin Hood/Archer and Khora was meant to be a beast master and ended up as a cat woman with a whip and... live wire? Would also be nice to get some throwable weapons like tomahawks that you throw at regular intervals instead of throwing toothpicks like a fucking machine gun.

Also on pageflight, it actually synergizes with dark verse, as its not a forced proc, its 100% chance for bleedallowing status chance boosts to work with it. With like 200 status vulnerability thats 4 more bleed statuses per cast, which is pretty damn strong Edit for details, pageflight is the reason why they put a damage cap on tragedy, the fact that it crashed the game implies it possibly did infinity damage

If I recall, back after they changed how Radial Blind worked into using LoS, the feedback was so overwhelmingly negative that they changed it so that the LoS check also checks enemies that were seen momentarily but are currently out of LoS.

Dante passive gives codex scans, which is actually kind of cool. Fully scanned enemies are supposed to give extra status chance, and no one has really noticed that the whole second half of his passive just doesn't work haha

I don't know where I've seen this tested, but apparently dark verse doesn't actually have a guaranteed slash proc, but instead has 100% status chance, so the status vulnerability from pageflight actually matters A LOT, since is scales with strength

The one problem that I have with him post-nerf is that his dark verse tragedy loop clashes a bit with how much the game encourages mobility now. For example, if you're in a non-open tile, you dark verse one group then move to dark verse another, but then casting tragedy will only hit like half of the total because you lost sight of the first group. I don't think they should remove LoS from it, but some kind of marking function on dark verse so that enemies hit by it bypass the tragedy LoS would be really nice to fix a lot of the clunkiness. Overall, though, great frame and great video. Nice to see a content creator being a bit more realistic and not just going "ew frame bad never playing again" as soon as a nerf happens

I remember talking about Dante (post-nerf) with a Frost-main friend of mine, and he absolutely hated the guy - not because he was weak, not because he was lacking anything, not because he felt bad to play, but because he excelled in every department. Great survivability, great damage output, great overall feel. Compared to something like Frost, he could be modded to do more.. with less. Straight out of the Foundry with only one strength mod (+55 strength), and he was able to tackle SP comfortably enough. No augment needed for overguard, no extra range, nothing. Still, he's an undoubtedly cool Frame with extraordinary potential, but his nerfs were definitely needed! Do take care out there, though, person reading this! Best wishes on all that's ahead!

Worth pointing out on Noctua, it feels like the tome mods are neat, but kinda not worth the slots they occupy, given how much utility you can give it AS WELL AS damage with the right build. Archon Flow + Cold damage = Infinite energy orb distribution Slap on corrosive damage and you can spec the bad boy out to shred/slow enemies while pumping out very respectable dps as it keeps popping out energy orbs.

02:50 Absolutely true. That's the same for the Warlock archetype. Meaning a DOT caster who throws curses and DOTs at the enemies(think about the Affliction Warlock in World of Warcraft). There's a lot of other concepts not in the game, but that's my favorite.

I reached a point with Dante's build where I filled 7 of the mod slots and felt no need to fill the 8th. I hit the numbers that I need for range, duration and strength, and don't feel the need to add any additional mods. (What would I even add? I could use an Augur mod to squeeze a tiny bit of extra potential into one stat but the shield boost from Augur is actively pointless on a frame that builds a million overguard). So when Dante gets augment mods, I already have slots ready and waiting. (Possibly even two slots, I forget whether or not I wasted one on Primed Vigor).

There seems to be a new wave/tier of frames starting with Kullervo - they're a strong upgrade to previous frames, they don't appear in Conclave, they are better feeling power trips than previous frames. DE also mentioned that they don't want to remake Loki cause that would mess with what he was and his core identity - they might be pointing to the fact that new frames are meant to be on a different level and keeping old frames up to the current power levels is less important than identity and usability. The Ember change coming with Jade Shadows, her 1 no longer needing to be held - it's a usability change rather than a nerf or a buff.

Because it's not just status application that they're vulnerable to, it's also the DAMAGE of said Status effects, amplifying his Dark Verse and Final Verse dramatically, since Strength basically "double dips" on that. Strength increases the initial damage of Dark Verse/Final Verse, and then also amplifies the Status Vulnerability from Pageflight, which then multiplies the damage even further! This was an undocumented feature on release, got removed in the kneejerk nerfs, and then re-introduced and shown in Arsenal stats after the re-tuning and LoS changes. I'd argue it's a more important aspect of Final Verse than Wordwarden is, as it allows Dante's other abilities to go exponential. Hell, if you subsume Roar for the faction damage you can make it go Cubic or even *_quartic_* due to Faction damage already double dipping on status damage (Roar buff to ability damage + Dark verse base damage + Faction damage from roar reapplied on status + Final verse multiplier + Pageflight Vulnerability). It's crazy.

13:12 because more survivability the merrier. especially in dense defenses where distracted enemies are enemies not killing your thing so you can kill them cause overguard won't go on the defense thingy. 13:22 because everybody loves moar damage (cause those hit take more damage from the statuses), and cause maybe you like also using weapons, and so moar proc is moar damage cause gundition? 18:36 false. the splash of vial rush is an aoe. a very big one. (not sure if that requires you jumping to trigger it early tho) I use it as a "break all the crates in the room" button on a couple of my "looter" builds for running collect all voca/plumes/medals runs. it's also one of his lowest cooldown moves, so you can use it fairly rapidly to control areas with the cold+element it provides.
