I would argue that revenant isn't really a tank, since 'tank's means he's able to take lots of damage. Technically, he's using a second set of 'health' value without using any of his own. If we're talking actual tanking that deals direct damage to health, nidus is easily the tankiest.

A tank's job is absorb damage and gain enemy attention while doing so with minimal to no effort involved and if Revenant or Nidus can actively do that with passively or actively, to each their own. But in terms on brain dead easy mode gameplay with practically absolute invulnerability in all aspects, Revenant reigns Supreme, no question.

I am so proud of myself. Rev prime is the first frame I was able to take to lvl cap, and not to mention finally found a group doing it. We did it in Void Cascade. Took us about an hour and a half. I have four rev builds, Sentient Wrath, Silence, Thermal Sunder and Mind Control.

hey, if you're already making videos about rev builds that utilize overkill ability strength...i decided to slap "ore gaze" on him, and this makes him a pretty damn reliable loot-frame. (over 100% loot chance with "molt augmented" and\or archon shards) and this also allows you to use "reave" as a 1-shot kill for entire groups of enemies even if non-thralled (provided they have enough viral procs). so the rotation would basically be - cast mesmer skin, cast enthrall (helps group up enemies in addition to everything else), then use "ore gaze" to petrify them, then use a primer to quickly give everything 10 viral procs, then you just "reave" through everything (thrall or not) and everything just dies regardless of level (as this combo is based on enemy max health percentage, and scales with viral multiplicatively). besides "petrify" serving as a loot ability, petrified enemies also have their innate resistances reduced, and weaknesses increased, which is really good regardless. another decent subsume would be "tesla nervos" with it's augment, to help manage the energy needed to keep spamming "reave". since the new archon mods came out, "tesla nervos" got a pretty nice buff in that it interacts with "archon stretch" to give you pretty much permanent energy regeneration so long as enemies are around. and besides that, they also deal nice AoE damage when enemies that they're attached to, die. which with "reave" insta-killing, will happen often.

This is literally what I've been doing since the 2nd archon. Mods on Rev are a bit different due to it being a quick mission, but felarx and xata's whisper are nasty. Felarx's incarnon mode can also shoot though the cannisters on the aerolyst.

I also feel you man, although Revenant was already this powerful even before his primed version came out, not abundant of people used it because it is locked behind a quest which most would think is tedious and knowing his primed version will eventually be added to the game. Now that Rev prime is released which is easier to unlock via plats or some rngesus-inspired luck, Rev's mesmer's skin's capability that Revenant mains kept silent is finally discovered by people which eventually will lead to nerf from overuse (DE is just good at making things worse, that people want fair AoE and single-fire weapon usage, and what happened? almost no one uses aoe except Tenet Arca Plasmor which has area coverage. lmao) Can't wait for DE to add Gauss Prime and eventually the insane shield gating capability will also get nerfed if ever they'd nerf Revenant Prime. I just really hope "The First Descendant" game is gonna be good at release despite NEXON handles them, I just don't wanna play a game that punishes you for being too powerful despite how the game is designed for us to play it that way, it's just not worth it anymore.

I play PS4 and idk if y'all noticed but the buffs for the incarnon weapons are kinda funky rn they either work on one side or not at all. especially with felarx. if you pick the one for alternating punch thru and whatever it was it switch's per mission or not at all or even with the one that increases fire rate from mag spent doesn't proc. so far that's the only things I've noticed but when I get home and online tonight I'll check more

When you prime the enemies first with several elements. Best primers are secondaries like epitath or kuva nukor. Mod them for status chance and elements then shoot your enemies with them before using your melee or primary. Mods like condition overload for melee or the galvanized mods for primary benefit from statuses that are on your target and give you more %-damage the more status/elements they are affected by.

If you go into the demolyst nullifier pulse you are just bad at the gamemode. There is not a single case, on any mission type, where you would want vazarin on rev over unairu's 100% aoe armour strip. This is even more important for disruption

@@ladydimltrescu there is a big difference between having extreme damage potential and being literally completely invincible. wisp and mirage both can die easily if not played correctly, while you need to be focussed 100% of the time or in the case of wisp at least spend time casting and spending energy to become invulnerable. with revenant you literally have to not care about ANYTHING. I stood 5h in kuva survival sp in one spot not switching to operator a single time. that is just completely broken and bad for the game. It's not like he is just a tank frame. he is also a weapon platform with roar/eclipse (or xata's in the case of zariman weapons) because of his useless 4 and he can also be built to deal 100% of the enemies health while being invincible.

Awesome video. By the way, I would argue that revenant isn't a tank. Simply because his mesmer skin acts as a secondary health pool. In order for a character to be tanky, they have to be able to take lots of damage and come out on top. Revenant doesn't take any actual damage. So...nidus would easily be the best contender for best tank since he takes 100% of all damage without using a secondary health pool.
