You're the second KZbinr today that is also sharing a new player friendly build and I'm all for it. All the powerful Arcanes, prime mods and archon shards are overwhelming new players and this "You don't use this so it sucks" mentality still exists within this community despite us having so many options and alternatives that also work.

I'm really loving Gastro Grendel. I used a purple shard to get a little more sustain, and between it, Nourish and Energy Siphon aura, I don't have any energy issues (also at 45% efficiency). It's such a ridiculous but very fun thing to spit enemies back out and watch them bounce around. Especially when you can bounce them around corners or into small rooms. So stupid, but so satisfying.

My biggest issue this patch has been survival fissues being glitchy. From the 2nd relic onwards, I will select a relic and the game will stop spawning enemies, not count timer, and not drain life support for like 15 seconds before it makes me select my relic again. And sometimes, it glitches to where enemies are active while I select my relic

Had something kinda similar last night, but with a sortie exterminate. It was the third mission, and the first thing I noticed was the objective count was like 40, when it is usually something like 200 for sorties. Then we noticed that the ENTIRE level was empty right up to the room right before the exit where it dumped 20ish eximuses on us, which wasn't enough to complete the mission. We spent another couple of minutes sprinting back and forth from extraction to the last few rooms til more eventually spawned. Very odd.

It's on most of my active-effect shaders like invis and cracked-relic-effect. It doesn't matter what I do. Sometimes there's just a hovering head or a poser growing *out of* the head of a frame.

I just started using Arcane Battery on Oberon and with a few tweaks and Helminth to help, it's basically solved his energy starvation, for the most part. I really need to look into putting it on more Frames, Grendel being one of them. Thanks for the tip on that.

@@TacticalPotato oh hell no, verglas prime has poor ramp up without a riven, and it needs a lot of heat in order to offset viral damage from innate cold. Prime burst laser simply needs primed heated charge to do the same

Yeah, it's such a silly thing to not use him over. It's literally 3 missions, zero RNG, guaranteed reward on completion. I could understand being more mad about it if DE did it with more new Frame acquisitions, but they haven't after the negative feedback. Plus, he has a Prime which can be instantly acquired using trading, there's no reason to have that level of grudge over it at this point. It's been like 5 years.

Grendel was terrifying when he could succ the map. I really just don't see this frame as "Deadly" nowadays. He was one of the best CC frames and reduced to a meat pinball on a diet.
