Just want to say thanks. While homeless, I came across this video and it saved my life. I was able to construct a camp similar to this and ride out a month of wind and rain inside of it. Your video literally saved a persons life dude! I am not homeless anymore but if I had not seen this video... not sure if I would have survived that winter

Yes, but when you camp without coming prepared, you wind up cutting down the forest for shelter and fire to keep your butt warm 😠

​@catecalvertarriola3986 Those trees, growing in groups like that, will eventually choke the larger, healthier trees out. He's actually doing that forest a favor by clearing out the weaker and/or dead "weed" trees. That gives seedlings the chance to grow without resource competition.

I understand and appreciate everything in this video, I just happened to comment on the dog because I very recently lost my dog of 16 years….sorry my comment pissed you off, but I wasn’t talking to you when I wrote it.

Ich finde Dich, was Du tust und Deinen Hund klasse. Während er mit schier endloser Kraft rund um und durchs Lager läuft, baust Du Dir das, wovon wir als Kinder nur geträumt haben. Highlight für mich jedesmal: Hund kriegt was zu fressen und Du sitzt im Zelt und machst Dir Dein Fleisch, Brot, Tomate etc. und trinkst Deinen Tee. Am Ende sitzt Ihr beide am Feuer. It was a terrible shelter. It was open on one end, thereby losing heat. He had to spend all day cutting firewood and feeding his furnace because he compensating for the heat he was losing.

I’m always curious as to where these awesome camps are made. Is it private or public land? When I was in Boy Scouts, we camped once a month, no matter the weather. We had survival training and had to make shelters without cutting down any living plants/trees. When we were done for the week/weekend, we had to tear down and leave nothing behind that wasn’t there before we arrived. I love watching these kind of videos. They make me remember the good days when I could still do things like this without hurting. Thank you for sharing.
