It's dark, its uncomfortably silent. Suddenly you hear the clicking of a torchpack in the distance. You see the swarm of Chaos making its way towards you and your unit. The bass starts to hit and you hear the chorus begin to chant in rhythm. As the bodies begin to surround you, you ogryn gets snatched by a Trapper and dragged off. There are too many to push past. Your veteran gets pounced while trying to carve a bloody path to the ogryn with their chainsword. The psyker is doing their best to thin the ocean of enemies that has engulfed you. You reach for the one last thing that can help. You remind yourself that this isnt for YOUR survival. This isnt for YOUR victory. This is for the Imperium and most importantly, The Emporer himself. You can't fail. You can't die here. I MUST MAKE IT! You shout internally. You reach for your Pendant and call upon the love and light of The Emporer. The power of The Emporer is too much for the low lifeforms of Chaos. You can see the forms of darkness being pushed back. You feel reinvigorated, you can fight. You CAN come out of this. You pick up your ogryn and form a defensive formation. Back to back, you fight your way to the Veteran and slice the filthy mongrel clean in half. You glance to the Psyker just yelling to himself but effectively clearing out the horde. The tides are changing, you can feel it in your skin and your very being. The veteran screams to the heavens with one final push "GIVE EM THE KASRKIN DOUBLE TAP!!!" rings out in the darkness. You do exactly that. Again and again and again and again...slowly making your way to extraction. Covered in blood and exhausted, you and your team sit in the Valkyrie and leave this forsaken place.
