That was some High level play. Really good game with sweet moves, flanks and tactics. It's great to see such high caliber play, that was a furious back and forth. I was really wondering in that teir three SM was gonna roll up the poor guardsmen, but it often comes down to a single squad... decapping at the last minute for the win. Well done.

Legions of courageous guardsmen and space marines stand triumphant over the vile forces of chaos. Having pushed back the enemies and saved another world in the name of the Emperor, the warriors await the transports that will bring them to the next battle. However, the ships that arrived from the warp were not of the Imperial Navy. Bearing the sigil of the Grey Knights, the advanced vessels ordered an immediate blockade of the planet, unwilling to let the compromised guardsmen escape. When questioned by the officers of the Space Marine Chapters who fought with the human troops, the Grey Knight announced a planet wide purge to eradicate the taint of chaos. Consternation and complaints by the Astartes quickly followed, arguing that the battles were fought far from the civilian populations who were kept safe and unaware of the corruption thanks to the sacrifice and courage of the human soldiers. After a time, the Knights agreed to spare the planet on one condition: The guardsmen would be purged to the last, with the Astartes with whom they fought acting as their executioners...

GG! That hero Sentinel and that Undying Dread were great. That AC barrage and Stomp on the AM in the retreat blob. And the Frag Assaluts were massive. Always up for a Guard game.

Blesing of the Omnissiah is 150 red, has about a 1 minute cooldown. Two Techmarines could technically chain cast that.

I am not surprised at all that SM were managed to field Terminators so quickly. The Guards failed nearly every push toward their power farms and bleed like hell doing so. Still that final SM push really is unnessary and they were already in a percarious position with VP going that low. Also yet another lesson why you should never push LR Redeemer

I'm surprised none of the guard players built vehicles after seeing how much anti-infantry stuff the space marines had, only things with vehicle armour on their side that whole match were heavy turrets and one stormlord

For morale more than anything, they are a glorified militia force with harsh officers and cool tanks, air support and artillery, nothing else. They are a rag tag force of represive militia and even at that they are really bad

Advice for new players 1/ Play on Friday, weekends and during European night time. 2/ Make sure to get the newest patch from forum's releases section. The (l) (ink) is in the video description. 3/ Find players to play with at the (D) (iscord) channel. The (l) (ink) is at the video description. 4/ After joining (D) (iscord), give yourself an initiate tag or completely new tag depending on your preference by going to roles channel. 5/ And most importantly, add every non-toxic player you met on Elite Mod as a (S) (team) friend. If a new person rely solely on finding a room in public room list, there is a high chance that one will suffer from taking long to find a room and skill mismatches. An optimal way to find rooms for Elite while avoiding two forementioned problems would be like below. 1/ Host a new player room and go (Dis) to (cord) looking-for-games channel to gather new players for it. 2/ Play some games 3/ Send (Ste) friend (am) invite to any and all player who were in your room and were not toxic/blaming. - Doesn't matter if they receive it or not. Keep sending. There is a nice ignore invite button to stop all invites from a player and also invite notification only happens once. These two means invite spam is not a nuisance to anyone. 4/ Repeat Step 1 to Step 3 until you gather about 15 to 20 players in your friend list. 5/ Now, you have power to host a room and fill it up in a minute or two by using both (Ste) invite (am) and informing (Dis) on (cord) any time of the day you want and with players of skills similar to you.

It's a shame the few people who still play this game are so hostile to new players. Me and a couple of friends tried to get into this game but the community was just so unbelievably toxic it ruined the vibe.

Did you find your game through (D) (iscord) or did you enter a random game hosted on public? Unfortunately, this game provides no moderation tools for players. It is kind of stupid because despite being an equally old game, LFD2 allows you to blacklist people so that neither the player nor the culprit can see or enter each other's room. This is like the least thing a game should have for countering toxicity. ;( It is really frustrating that while (D) (iscord) and forum are well moderated, there is no way to intefere in game lobbies and thus, victims like you happen.

Sigh... All I can say is please follow below advice to avoid such bad exeprience. If you think it is too much of a bother for playing a simple game and one should be able to play a toxicity free game just by going to a public lobby, I full heartedly agree with you. Sorry that we cannot provide such experience due to technical limitation of being a (m) (o) (d).
