Not really sure what the hell Tenso and Happy were talking about at the end, that was far from a “classic sm deathblob” it was just a handful of tac squads. And definitely not “termies *everywhere*”, just one squad per player. Nids just got outplayed by constantly trying to take SM head on and bleeding units instead of trying to outmaneuver them more…

Venom cannon on the carnifexes didn't really pay off, got a couple dreadnought kills but then SM had nothing but infantry for most of the rest of the match Investing in a few more venom broods instead would have worked so much better, since when the SM inevitably do the terminator spam you can swap the venom broods' weapons to counter that

I thought SM team kinda get up on the chase a bit too early, they very nearly got the Lord a bunch of time but always fall back of swtich target midway through. But maybe it's this sort of careful play that got them to roll out their deathball and won the game in the end

Inspiration with the dreadnoughts splash damage did that, jeee and they say SM inspirations wiping things from a single hit never happens in games, this better be looked at.

You are only required to buy DoW2 Retribution for multiplayer. Other games/DLCs are not needed. In addition, Elite Mod is required but it is a free mod. All replays casted in this channel are from DoW2 Retribution + Elite Mod. Retribution is the second and the last expansion of DOW2. Retribution is a standalone expansion that does not require other games for it to work. Players created Elite Mod as patch support for Retribution stopped in 2012. For this reason, Elite Mod is also needed for playing multiplayer as unmodded Retribution is largely abandoned aside from single play purposes. Same can be said about Original DOW2 and Chaos Rising the first expansion. They are bought to enjoy single player content only. Elite Mod’s main function is the balance patch support for high level 1v1 scene. However, in addition, it adds some new content too. Bug fixes New faction - Ordo Malleus(Grey Knights) New units, wargears, skills and globals for each faction New unit portraits New army skins New maps A ladder system with ratings And most importantly, community support such as replays casted on KZbin, Regular tournaments and other events with streamers on Twitch, a regulated Discord server and a forum website

Advice for new players 1/ Play on Friday, weekends and during European night time. 2/ Make sure to get the newest patch from forum's releases section. The (l) (ink) is in the video description. 3/ Find players to play with at the (D) (iscord) channel. The (l) (ink) is at the video description. 4/ After joining (D) (iscord), give yourself an initiate tag or completely new tag depending on your preference by going to roles channel. 5/ And most importantly, add every non-toxic player you met during an online match as a (S) (team) friend. If a new person rely solely on finding a room in public room list, there is a high chance that one will suffer from taking long to find a room and skill mismatches. An optimal way to find rooms for Elite while avoiding two forementioned problems would be like below. 1/ Host a new player room and go (Dis) to (cord) looking-for-games channel to gather new players for it. 2/ Play some games 3/ Send (Ste) friend (am) invite to any and all player who were in your room and were not toxic/blaming. - Doesn't matter if they receive it or not. Keep sending. There is a nice ignore invite button to stop all invites from a player and also invite notification only happens once. These two means invite spam is not a nuisance to anyone. 4/ Repeat Step 1 to Step 3 until you gather about 15 to 20 players in your friend list. 5/ Now, you have power to host a room and fill it up in a minute or two by using both (Ste) invite (am) and informing (Dis) on (cord) any time of the day you want and with players of skills similar to you.

Not that I play 'nids, but just from a spectator's perspective their nuke continues to look next to useless. Does it even do any damage at all? Or is its only purpose some slight knockback to maybe get something off a cap?

I feel the same, every other race nuke is either run or get killed. Nids nuke is " oh, w/e, just move a bit and we're safe" lol

if positioned well it can do moderate damage and has a buffing aura, though in many cases is maybe the weakest nuke if positioned well it can one shot both base turrets on many maps, leaving an enemy's base vulnerable. each spire destroys non-base/HQ buildings

Is it just me or does it seem like Tyranids go a little too heavy on the venom cannons right away. It was just two dreadnoughts and they still do damage against vehicles. Kinda feel like if they all went stranglethorns off the hop then went venoms on their next ones if they are expecting tanks it could have went a little better. I dont remember seeing any stranglethorns in that match. The thornback was cool even if it didnt do much, dont see enough of them. Maybe its time for a buff? I think its just they really have to slowly walk in to engage soaking up so much dmage cause they rely on the charge to eacape. Give a slight buff to base movement speed over the other carnos to give a bit more survivability so they can actually use their charge to engage and not be doomed or move a little faster into the engagement and can still charge out. Obviously dont want to over buff but man you really never see em.
