I always appreciated that he had a lot of the same quotes as the Chaos Lord, but with different tonality. He seems more impatient and pissed. For the Lord, it was always like "What do *you* want?", for example. He was always interested to hear what you had to "say", but never really considered you an equal. In comparison, the Daemon Prince seems straight pissed you're even talking to him.

“I AM A GOD” I absolutely love this about Daemon Princes, they have the power of a lesser deity but are also monstrously delusional - they think they are their own masters, but as a Daemon Prince they are truer Slave to Darkness than they ever were as a mortal. All that power and immortality is really just a gilded cage as they aren’t even individuals - just pawns and extensions of their patron gods without real self control. Chaos is such an absolutely rotten deal and I love them for it.

One thing that I find interesting is the power distance between the low and high tier units in Chaos. The heretic and cultist feel like they are treated lesser than dirt based on their quotes, while the Deamon Prince sounds like he is set to conquer the world. It definitely gives a sense a progression from the cowardly and beggar like cultists to the Chaos Marines to the end game units like the Deamon Prince.

IG either invade with massive armies, or (actually) build some HQ. Chaos can actually deploy by Strike Squads just like Space Marines, depending on the mission. The Tau use their fleet as HQ and mostly uses large strike teams. Nids invade the planet with full force, and the uh... "buildings" kinda pop up by themselves. Necrons armies pop out of the ground. Orks invade full-force most of the time. So yeah, not everyone - but this is still no good excuse to keep base-building!

+TheAtomicGoliath You guys forget the technology of the Star Wars universe. They aren't stuck in technological regression and are constantly inventing new ways to kill each other. The Empire used the 'base-delta-zero initiative' as a shorthand for the Star Wars equivilant of Exterminatus, - they didn't need an entire fleet in orbit, they just need a single Star Destroyer. Abbadon's flagship is the 'Planet killer' which can destroy a planet, a relic of ancient times that can no longer be reproduced, The Empire built the Death Star, from scratch, in seventeen years. So the question becomes: Can the technology advantage make them survive? Against the Imperium of Man, in an all-out war? The answer would be 'No', but they would be enough of a hassle to get rid of that the Imperium would regard them in much the same way as the Tau: A threat to be closely monitored, certainly, but frankly the Imperium has a much bigger fish to fry in the Ruinous Powers. And considering the Empire, like the Tau, do not have psykers, that is an enemy they would not have to fear suddenly appearing on their worlds. And before you say it, no, The Force and the Warp are not the same. A force sensitive is not the same as a Psyker. So, in summary, would a Daemon Prince pwn the Empire easilly? Hell no. If he proved too much of a trouble, the Empire would simply cut its losses and base-delta-zero the planet said Daemon prince is on. Now, because Daemon Princes are immortal, this wouldn't kill him, just send him back to the warp. But from there all he can do is scheme untill he's summoned back into the Galaxy by a chaos cult, which might takes years and years, by which point the Empire will have recovered. To the higher ups, a Daemon Prince would be a recurring nuisance. "Sir, Eliphas has reappeared' 'Again? This is the second time this decade.. A cult got through our state-sec-like-police and summoned him again? Execute the slackers that allowed it to happen. What of our weapons, do we have anything new we can throw at him? Maybe we'll get lucky and it'll put him down for good' 'We've got better proton torpedoes and turbolasers than last time, along with some experimental weaponry' 'Evacuate all loyal imperial citizens from the area, then blast him from orbit with the experimental stuff first. Limit blast radius to his immediate area and increase intensivity of the bombardment untill scanners show no lifesigns in the area.' 'Yes sir'.

Okay they've done a First Person Game called Fire Warrior, played that, loved it.. Love the Tau they kick arse. They've done a Third Person Shooter as a Space Marine.. If they don't do one playing as Chaos I'll write an official complaint to the Daemon Prince to go & flense the Skin from the dudes at Relic Entertainment! :-)
